Edit: Possibly 10. Necrochasm and Vex include RNG but you do have to kill a raid boss on hard mode for the chance of RNGing them.
Edit: While the bounties themselves may be RNG based, there are "specific" tasks with multiple steps/criteria that must be met in order to acquire or "earn" them.

Necro and vex shouldn't be included. 1-2 people can carry a team through CE. 4 people can carry a team through VoG(I know it can be done with less, just takes a long time if you don't have a warlock that knows how to do the selfrevive thing at Atheon.)

I wouldnt include Vex since it is still completely rng based. But Necro definitively since there are multiple steps to get it. Sure its rng for the husk and the crux but there are low chances at both and you still have to upgrade that crappy gun inbetween. I think it took me 30 minutes to an hour to get all the hive kills to upgrade the Husk <.< idk i dont remember

I would say definitely Vex and Necro are earned. Anyone that has them definitely killed Atheon and Crota. So even though they're not guaranteed drops that's still the only way to get to them.

I say necrochasm is more earned since you have various steps you have to go through. Vex.....ehh... I got it first hard mode I did of vault. But for others they're still trying to get it.

I dont mind Xur, but I think exotic weapon and armor should be 50-75+ coins, not a measly 17. That way.. when people say they "earned It" the statement will carry more weight. Because buying something from Xur for the cost of two weekly heroics is really "pushing it" in the "earned" department!

Yeah, I agree with this. Although the bounty is up to RNG, you do have to complete specific tasks to get the weapon at the end. So... Yeah. For the most part, I agree with the OP.

Thank you! Getting tired of all these "I earned my exotic." Like you said only the exotic bounties can be considered as earned.

If anything else Thorn for sure. Every other exotic bounties' just a push over. When i had to "farm" poe, me and my buddy just kept killing ourselves at the end of the boss fight to keep getting the points.

Necrocasm has to be included in then. You have to level husk of the pit and buy the upgrade item for it to become the EA. This item is only available to buy from Eris for a certain number of TDB bounties completed

If you play the game you have "earned" all of your gear. Plain and simple.
