Anyone else sick of 34s not knowing how to do vault of glass
It all started when TDB was released and vendor gear was better than vault gear. I feel with every expansion that comes out players get worse and worse at raids in particular vault of glass. Who thinks that most players won't even be able to beat the Oryx raid?
Edit 1 - I realize this post maybe confusing to some and that I do not want to help new players. What I should have said was that I am sick of people being 34 with decent grimoire lying about skill level. I'm not the best but generally I let someone know if I can't do something in a raid for example I can't run sword at crota.
Edit 2 - I am 282 light level currently for taken king is 300 the cap?
Edit 3 - So now that kings fall is out are some people having a hard time with underleveled players at Oryx, as in dps on Oryx?

It's only annoying if they act like bad asses and suck. There's been a lot of new players lately and more to come. If they are inexperienced and looking to learn and have fun, I have no problem helping and struggling through with them. People did it for me back when vog was released. The helpfulness is a lone bright spot in this community.

8 RepliesThe most frustrating part is Atheon when I get teleported with two of them. Obviously I'm the one who grabs the relic. But I'm the only one that can kill the oracles also it seems. What's so hard about killing a glowing orb?

I don't do raids anymore ever since I got most raid weapon/armor.

I don't care if any level doesn't know how to do stuff, remember we all started somewhere and it's not like the vog is essential to level up anymore. It's good to help people through things. My problem is when people say they know how to do stuff and they clearly haven't got a clue.

I don't mind....mostly. I mean, sure I will help new people sometimes, but if they try to lie to my face about knowing I will not help. I don't see any shame in not knowing something, and I don't think others should either.

1 ReplyI don't mind if they are honest about their knowledge level. I helped a group of 5 others once. Only 1 of them had any experience and the rest didn't know what to do. I explained each part to them before starting and we got through in decent time. Sure we wiped a couple times but as long as they listen and learn I still find it can be fun.

Joined one yesterday and nobody used a mic, I used the relic as clearly nobody else knew and I stayed for 3 attempts, they kept shooting the oracles in the wrong order, no point in wasting my time.

Finally someone who talks sense! No reason not knowing how to use either relics, I'm sure there are guides and tutorials on youtube.

Well, another problem with them learning it is they usually jump straight to hard (VOG or Crota). Normal is a much better environment to learn the mechanics, but they skip it because they're gear makes them higher than what's recommended for hard. And with blues being better than our current legendarys, outclassing all the year 1 content will be even easier...

get used to it, as the game is out longer and longer with new ways to get better gear, there will be more and more people who have not even heard of VoG much less have run it before. it is already not the necessary stepping stone it used to be
