When I realized that conservative extremists want to turn America into a Christain theocracy, whether they admit it or not. Plus, for Christians, some extremists sure are bigoted, hateful, and aggressive. This thread is practically confirming that. I especially don't support them when they act that way to people like me more tolerant of people with different beliefs, preferences, and faiths. Yes, some liberals are hypocrites about being tolerant, but some I know are actually open minded. Plus, as a raised Christian, I was taught that Jesus wants us to love and respect each other despite our sins , and considering the extremism and bigotry some conservatives have, I don't think I can stand with them. [spoiler]the reason I don't want America to be a theocracy is because if we enforce Christian laws and rules on everybody regardless of what they believe, we would be taking away natural rights and the free will that God gave us, and we would be throwing the most important amendment in the constitution out the window. /spoiler]

I used to be a hardcore Conservative Republican. But when I entered the workforce and started studying economics, I quickly realized how sociopathic and idiotic Austrian economics is, and more importantly how unsustainable it is. It sounds good in theory, but a system operated on greed is bound to be destroyed by greed and that's exactly what's happening right now. The more facts I absorbed, the less Conservative I became. Soon I left the Christian cult, started caring about my fellow humans and realized how amazing science is. There's a reason people become more Liberal, because Conservatism as an ideology operates on fear, destruction and blind faith.

Republican, democrat, liberal, and conservative.. All useless labels meant to categorize and simplify very complex social and fiscal stances. In reality, if you fall squarely under any of these terms, you are most likely an uninformed sheep.

I am not saying ALL Conservative Republicans are like this, I just don't want to be associated with the Conservative extremists[spoiler] some Republicans nod to the type of people who think it's ok to enforce Christian laws on the people, regardless of what the people's personal beliefs and faiths are or what separation of church and state is[/spoiler] [spoiler]some are fear and war mongers claiming that all Muslims are terrorists and we should eradicate the Middle East, and calling others terrorist supporters for not being as bloodthirsty. But when a Christian goes nuts, they claim that he does not represent all Christians[/spoiler] [spoiler] some Conservatives are the type of people who believe that you should be punished with prison time for victimless crimes, even if what you did doesn't affect anybody but yourself[/spoiler] [spoiler]some have a belief that if you do any kind of jail or prison time, you're automatically incapable of redeeming yorself and are a waste of air[/spoiler] [spoiler]some want to not just kill, but torture our prisoners even though torture is inhumane and against the 8th amendment[/spoiler][spoiler]dragging us into a war under Bush's presidency without accurate information and not getting rid of the problems there that exist to this day[/spoiler] [spoiler]realizing that the only reason I was Republican for a year or two was because some people scared me into hating Gays, Muslims, potheads, and people who just don't agree with me. As well as oppose Obamacare over a bullshit conspiracy theory. Then I grew up and taught myself to not be hateful to people themselves, but their actions if anything[/spoiler] I'm not entirely Liberal nor Conservative but if someone held a gun to my head and forced me to choose, I apologize, but I'd choose Liberal.
