Um... I'm not going anywhere. Besides the forums are hyperbolic (kind of like this post) you can hardly get a accurate reading on the current player base by reading the forums.
-
Who are you to judge the veterans of destiny?
-
I'm jumping ship because I'm seeing through Bungie's lies. They hyped up Vanilla Destiny, disappointment. They hyped up TDB, disappointment. They hyped up HoW, HUGE disappointment.
Seriously, -blam!-ing shank burn... Yeah that's sooo -blam!-ing useful on a -blam!-ing rocket launcher.
So I know for a fact that TTK is going to be a disappointment too by looking at their track record.

Edited by Chellen137: 8/12/2015 4:44:41 PMI like my 365's but I couldn't care less about them when TTK drops. It's gonna be epic. Who are you to judge the real vets of this game.
-
You speak for the whole community? Ive been here since the beta and im liking the looks of the taken king. So speak for yourself
-
I'm here

I'm a year 1 vet and its a good idea, otherwise what's the point of adding new weapons when the vanilla weapons are better, fatebringers good but I don't want to be using it for 10 years
-
Naw, I think the band of day one crybabies are just a vocal minority
-
1 Replyim a year one vet and i dont care about the transition. its nice to have new gear :) its nice to have fatebringer but its time to move on to better gear who knows there could be a fatebringer 2.0 or a new VOC you dont know till you try.

I had this convo earlier with a teammate and man when we used to make 3 of the same character just to try and get him to level 30 with the legendary gear was frustrating but also very rewarding not to only our levels but the gamer within us. I'm now on xb1 after being on ps3 and I'm only a level 20 (grinding for light levels starting today) and I would still enjoy those hourly grinds far more than hand downs. But only a year one player would understand that. That's like generations of people. Only the older generations cherish things that even I know I shouldn't but still take for granted. I still feel it would've been better to give raid gear damage bonuses that "pay-to-play" gear can't have. My opinion
-
I'm excited for it. If people leave, it's their own choice. It won't make my life any better or worse. I'm gonna continue to play the game because i enjoy it, and I've been playing since beta.
-
WELL TO BAD IM STILL HERE AND I AM FROM THE BETA
but really I not playing until taken king comes out because I got bored
-
WELL TOO BAD!!!! You're still gonna have to deal with us ALPHA/BETA players! You do realize that it isn't only the day one veterans that are leaving destiny because of this right? A lot of people are like this. I personally think Bungie should've implemented the concept of leaving old legendary weapons behind earlier.
-
Always remember that the original destiny players grinded much more than you did for gear that is about to become worthless. I understand why bungie is doing it so I am not too disappointed however it is understandable why other people from the beta and vinilla destiny would believe that their grind was worthless in the end.
-
Yeah, and that is a dumb reason to jump ship lol. I'm still here.
-
2 RepliesWe the YEAR ONE and BETA players are destiny, we shaped the game and this will never change. You will alway be second and so show some respect to the LEGENDS of day one
-
You've been here since dark below eh? You clearly have no idea how real the grind was before dlc dropped everything was basically handed out to you afterwards.

5 RepliesEdited by Rico1367: 8/12/2015 4:44:24 PMOp has no clue. Easy for vets but hard on newcomers, really! U didn't know the damn grind when the game came out & being forever 29 admiring those few at 30. Dark Below made it easy for u when u started & HoW made it much easier for newcomers. So STFU.

How does being able to ascend gear to new meta levels hurt new players? I personally am against ascending year 1 content in year 2, but I am confused how it screws over new players. All etheric light did was save us day 1 players time to get to max light level, but it wasn't even that fast lol. We still had t run PoE several times before we were ale to become 34, sure some with more then 1 character were able to become 34 the first day HoW released, but for people with 1 character it took then a week or 2 to reach max light level. And as it stands right now, only doing crucible it takes 12 hours or less to max out a sub class and reach max light level. So even new players it wasn't that hard that for them.

i feel discriminated now,i might be a year 1 vet, but im def not old enough to kick the bucket yet,a premature burial is pretty rude you know?

Vets aren't leaving. Choose who hate change will.

3 RepliesLove these posts. Your calling out the alpha/beta day 1 players as if there the ones ruining the game. I remember forever 26 because I couldn't find a full team to do VOG to get ONE piece of armor. Lol I sat through the whole dark below DLC as a 31, simply because I hated the armor. The "day 1" players will always be here. They have made this game what it is. They get enjoyment out of playing this video game. We're all upset that our old standbys are becoming obsolete. But I have yet to see an "alpha" post a crybaby thread about grinding since alpha. LOL We're here for the grind. ~day one filthy casual

3 RepliesMost? Silly rabbit. You don't know what you're talking about.

Edited by BlitzWolf43: 8/12/2015 4:01:02 PMI've been here since beta and I think the year one gear is just being replaced. So there's no reason to be mad. Anyone who is mad should've know this game is always evolving when they started playing it.
