I personally think it is, no sniper compares to it.
Edit: alot of people don't realise this is personal opinion, I've tested alot of snipers in the crucible and have around 9k kills with snipers in the crucible, if you can actually hit headshots this is a valid choice.

Well it doesn't OHK things like sunsingers, bladedancers, just-revived-players, etc, so I don't think so.
-
It can't even res-snipe, so no it's not.

Edited by Liam: 8/12/2015 11:31:54 PMHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH THIS IS HILARIOUS LMAOOOO OMFG HE ACTUALLY THINKS IT CAN COMPARE TO PRAEDYNTH
-
I think the LDR is for the sole factor that with Eye of Sol, you can't kill enemies with over shields - bad for trials etc
-
3 Repliesanyone has some love for P&T?
-
the amplified geo-d6 is actually very similar to the eye of sol statwise. the only difference is that the eye comes with good perks without having to reroll or get lucky when you randomly find one. I have both and I rolled hidden hand on my geo-d6 and kills decrease grenade cool down and they basically perform the same.

This guy's got jokes.

1 ReplyIt's a decent well rounded gun for all normal modes of crucible. For trials though I would recommend a higher impact sniper 100% of the time. Personally I go all the way to low impact high rate/stability and use ether pradiths or the eye for normal crucible (there are other good ones too) and high impact shield bustin snipers for trials / elimination.

1 ReplyNo land beyond is too good
-
Praeydenths revenge is a little better, the fire rate makes is so easy to hit 2 body shots super fast
-
Edited by tripleg11: 8/12/2015 6:23:39 PMNo I don't think so for a couple of reasons. One is its impact is too low so it's really unforgiving for missing a headshot making it a sniper only for seasoned snipers. However my biggest reason for saying it's not is because it can't snipe revives which are a big mechanic inside skirmish and trials game modes. I'd say something like a ldr or longbow with a good roll would be the best sniper in the game. But thats just me, you're free to rek with whatever sniper you feel comfortable with
-
3 RepliesNope. In the same category: Prudence II In the category with more impact: LDR or Longbow Synthesis. We can always agree to disagree :-)
-
4 RepliesIf you're going to say its your personal opinion then you should change the title. The way it is now makes it seem like you are stating a fact not your opinion so you can expect people to argue.
-
LDR for me.
-
Maybe for 6v6 modes. If it can't shoot thru an over shield its not worth it. And even then, I like being able to shut down self revive warlocks.
-
Yes the rate of fire is amazing
-
Edited by zJDz: 8/12/2015 5:22:51 PMBut eye of sol can't one shot headshot thru over shields of revived players. So LDR 5001 or Her Benevolence are better snipers.
-
Edited by Sinned: 8/12/2015 5:14:16 PMI personally enjoy using the E. Spear on my Titan the most. LDR, Praedyths, Epitaph, Eye of Sol, and Her Benevolence are also some snipers that I switch to.
Sadly, I dismantled the Epitaph a while back.
-
1 ReplyIf you hit headshots with just about any sniper then it is good
-
Go to destiny tracker and search my name watch some of those sniping videos and get back at me. E.Spear for life
-
Prudence II is better
-
Violator handles the same. Praedyths revenge is still best for snipers of that Archetype.
-
I agree if youre playing 6 vs 6 gametypes, but for skirmish or elimination, something like the LDR or Her Benevolence is ideal.
-
My LDR still matches it if I have Final Round on it.
-
Essentially if you are a decent sniper an LDR or longbow (or any sniper of the same damage type) can do the same things in less bullets
-
I personally don't like it. In your video, nearly every one of your victims are standing absolutely still, so it's not proving your point much. But, if you like it, you like it I suppose.
