Below is a summary of what PS users are getting exclusively. I don't understand the commercial reasons for this other than Sony has been co funding the project. it's so bloody annoying.
The Taken King will have time-limited exclusives for PlayStation platforms, which will last until late-2016. These include the new strike "The Echo Chamber", a new Crucible map "Sector 618", an exotic scout rifle ("The Jade Rabbit"), and a legendary gear set for each class: Hesperos (Titan), Azoth Bend (Warlock), and Neuroghast (Hunter)

2 RepliesIt's money... And it's only one strikes worth of playable content.

Edited by Tomato Gravy: 8/12/2015 3:31:28 AMSimple...money grab. Oh, and it's not really "exclusive" content it's blocked content that ms didn't pay to have unblocked.....I mean they didn't create stuff just for ps, it's on the xbox discs as well.....just blocked.

its called momey
-
Sony paid more, therefore getting more
-
3 RepliesMicrosoft got the whole Halo series exclusively... Xbox always gets the COD maps early. Just about time Sony got something first. How it goes. You're just on the wrong end this time

Activi$ion* Fixed.

Maybe the part where Sony pays them. It's called business

3 RepliesWhat's so hard to understand? Bungie gets more money and Sony gives people more incentive to buy their product instead of their competitors product.
-
Sony: We will give you millions of dollars for a timed exclusivity deal. Bungie's rationale: Millions of dollars
-
Their rational...$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
-
Cause money and they dont like working with xbox like they did with halo
-
The only rationale needed is that bungie offered this to both companies and Sony forked up,the extra cash, Microsoft did not. End of story.

4 RepliesI'm on xbox and the only thing that bothered me is waiting a year to use the items I've already paid for. I know ps users waited for cod dlc, that I thought was lame they had too. But what a month? 2 months? Not a freaken year fellow gamers. Exclusive games to consoles is fine. That's why you buy that console. But cross platform games need to end this crap.
-
Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica.
-
Same as year one. Simple fix, buy both counsels and never worry about exclusives again.
-
6 RepliesGetting back at Microsoft for the whole 'wait 1 month for call of duty exclusives?' At least that's what I'm thinking
-
Sony usually pays a good deal more money to the game company to get exclusive content.
-
Sony paid for it. Simples. I play xbox and it worries me not.

2 RepliesYou answered your own question, Sony made destiny possible with their funding. Part of paying for the project they also gained rights to the content. So instead of making it an exclusive and losing out on potential profits they build in exclusive content so there is still an incentive to buying their product. But they also did a good job of not alienating the other console by making it a delayed release so all us Xbox folks will still be able to receive all content at a later date. There is nothing personal about the decision and it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Bungie's relationship with Microsoft post Halo. It was a business decision by Sony to purchase partial rights to Destiny and because of that we have the ability to play this great game. Instead of being upset with Sony you should be thankful because without them Destiny probably would never of happened.
-
Sony paid for exclusive content, so Bungie made the extra maps and weapons and put then behind a pay wall... Basically following a contract, nothing personal.
-
The one thing i hate is by the time TTK comes out all the year one exclusives will be pointless and unneeded in the xbox version
-
Bungie's reason is that Activision told 'em too. What is Activision's reason? Money.
-
No one is going to buy a PS4 just to get those few exclusives. Xbox actually gets more new stuff than PS does.
-
2 RepliesThank xbox for this. Their inability to compete led them to buying content to get more people to buy their system. Now it's biting them in the ass. They did this from the first xbox to last. And even doing all this they still get outsold.
