I am not mad about my guns being out leveled. I am mad because...
I am forced to dismantle them. I have no problems with weapons being outclassed. Such is life, and a videogame. I DO have a problem with holding X on all my weapons because there isn't enough vault space to hold them.
It's not about being able to kill the last boss in Destiny in 10 years with fatebringer. It's being able to go in my vault, look at the gun I grinded so much for, rememeber the times (good and bad) I had in VoG, or Crota, etc, and maybe even taking it into a lower leveled strike or patrol just to fire it again.
Bungie originally stated wanting us to have a relationship with our guns. They succeeded, between raid weapon sets, the ability to reroll to your hearts desire, having guns no longer even available, they did what they wanted to.
And then they pulled it away in a sadistic manner.
Long story short: I'm perfectly happy with fatebringer being useless next dlc. But I'm not happy with the need to dismantle it, due to lack of storage. Give us more vault space, or something to store year one guns in exclusively, and you'll notice a lot of people will be a lot more content.
It's the act of dismantling our own weapon, not the act of playing with a new one.

5 RepliesDude you have ten slots of extra space per weapon type on each additional character. Why do people have multiples of the same weapon for each character, when they could just have one and easily switch weapons via app. And then complain about vault space?

Don't dismantle it, keep it. Dismantle the weapons that will for sure be replaced by better weapons. Personally I think it will be refreshing to have more variety. Keep fatebringer for the older missions where it is still relevant. It will still wreck stuff!

Don't dismantle them. Dismantle other weapons you don't want when ttk is out so you can upgrade your old legendaries to a new status.

1 Replymy issue is with the armor. it took months for all the IB armor to be available & now that i have it, it's got an expiration date on it.

Hold on to that thought. The are doing something with the vault, they just havent discussed it yet.

While easily accessible vault space may not be coming with TTK, it definitely sounds like they are offering "deep storage" options to at least store the guns we don't use on a regular basis without having to get rid of them. If you've held out this long you can go a few more weeks without sharding everything.

1 ReplyYea I agree. People are like "you don't need all the exotics in the game, just clear them out in your vault". The reason I don't want to is because someday I know one of those retarded exotics is gonna be buffed and be awesome, so I want to be prepared for that.

2 RepliesI bet raid weapons will somehow be attainable at higher levels. For instance if they added a level 34 vault of glass game mode with ttk then you could get a level 34 fatebringer instead of a level 30

Blame last gen consoles. They are the reason it is taking so long to increase vault space. BTW they did say they are working on a fix for it.

In the last video Deej repeats over and over for people not to delete the old weapons, he stated 'they will have their place', whatever the hell that means.
