Why do SOOO many people use THORN in regular PvP
I mean cmon son! WHY?!?!? Stop it... Please....
During IB I was playing regular Control and it was just so relaxing and fun to be in a Thorn free environment. Cant wait until 2.0
I can outgun most Thorn users 1v1 with damn near any primary.. The problem is when im going against 3 or more. Or when I just finished up a gunfight with someone else and there stands the camping/hiding/scared Thorn idiot with the DOT

1 ReplyRegular crucible I use my guns that are just for kicks, auto rifles, necrocasm, legendary hand cannons, plan C, etc. but for more competitive games like skirmish and trials, you've got to play that meta or else you lose. That's just the way things are right now. You do have a valid point though, I don't know what people are trying to prove by using a whole team of thorns in regular 6v6 crucible. Makes no sense.

Have had to switch back to thorn/hawk a few times though when the whole opposing team is using them. The meta is the meta. If you want to excel you will use the best weapons. Don't blame the players, blame bungie for poor game design and balance.

i agree SO MUCH!! i mean i understand that they want to win but why not try out another gun for once? people who use thorn and TLW for every control or clash are just pathetic.

The thorn now ticks 5-7 times for 7 damage no matter how many times you hit them Thorn 2.0 burns 3 times per bullet landed for 5 damage Thorn now is 3 shot and tick death Thorn 2.0 will still be 3 shot and tick death, just not at long ranges 1.0 DoT: 35 when finished 2.0 DoT 15 per shot, 3 shots: 45 damage Only 2 off from thorn 1.0 Won't be different ~trickshot1002 ︻デ┳═ー

5 RepliesSame reason people use: -The Last Word -Hawkmoon -Red Death -Shotguns with Shot Package -Snipers with high Aim Assist -Truth -Gjallarhorn -Any Rocket Launcher with 'Nades and 'Shoes -Grenades with tracking -Grenades with burn -Grenades with tracking and burn -Sticky Grenades -Lightning Grenades -Tripmine Grenades -Throwing Knives -Melees that provide Overshields -Shoulder Charge -Blink -Invisibility -The Ram -A. Symbiote -Armor that gives you two Grenades ........ Because why wouldn't you. I bet you are guilty of using a few of the above mentioned attributes in regular crucible as well, all of which are things that someone, somewhere on this forum have complained about. Thorn is not more over powered than most of the aforementioned things.
