Legendary (Purples) Retired
So, my hard EARNED Trials of Osiris Gear, as well as Iron banner Gear and all other Legendaries are obsolete when The Taken King Drops in less than two months?
This is the last time you cheat us of our of our heard earned gear and TIME Bungie. I am done with you.

1 ReplyObviously your someone who hasn't played a MMORPG before. These kind of things happen all the time in other MMOs. Also all your gear will do the same regular crucible. I'm gonna miss my fate bringer but in very glad to move on. Would you really wanna use fatebringer found verdict and ghorn for the rest of your destiny life? Embrace the expansion and move on.

Think of it like this. In DB Fatebringer was 300, but people still used it. So in ttk you will have better weapons, [b][i][u]But you will be able to still use year one[/u][/i][/b]

3 RepliesSee, I never considered my time in Destiny to be a "waste". You know why? Because even though I will be deleting most of my year 1 gear, I was never playing the game just to get gear. I was playing for fun. I was playing because I genuinely enjoyed the game. If you play a game you don't enjoy just because you want some gear that'll make it easier for you to then grind for more gear that'll make it easier to grind for more gear that'll make it easier to grind for more... You get the idea. If you're not playing Destiny for fun, then yeah, you're wasting your time. You're forgetting what a game is supposed to be. Play something else. Take a break. Maybe remind yourself why you bought Destiny in the first place. I doubt it was just because you were excited for the grind.

I can't say I blame you for your frustration but how many people on this forum remember games before achievements and trophies? I know xbox and playstation 2 didn't have them but there was a time when people played a game to beat it for the challenge and for the right to say they beat it and that was it. No special unlocks or perks or emblems or even any different in game experience. To me, the original nintendo is the very embodiment of that concept. Games were very simple and straight forward in concept but they were hard as hell to beat and the only thing you had was the pride that came from beating a tough game.
