Well im happy because we dont have to keep dragging these weapons along
Its time to move on
EDIT 1.) What if bungie allowed us to bring at least one weapon of any sort and upgrade it?
it should be like an Etheric light or something and you can upgrade it into year 2s maximum damage
EDIT 2.) MORE INFO https://twitter.com/DestinyNews_net/status/628608141698146304

More incentive to use the new weapons. As every mmorpg style game advances the old weapons become obsolete to a certain level ( I know this isn't a true mmorpg). It drives new content. As long as they can create weapons that are cool, unique and desirable this really won't effect the game much.
-
3 RepliesWhat about the raids? Is that content obsolete now since all the gear won't be leveling up? Why would a game with such a small amount of content make their best parts obsolete?
-
8 RepliesJesus Christ people love to bitch. Do you people really want to be using the same year 1 weapons by the time Destiny 2 rolls around?
-
No more light levels I'm down with. I don't care how hard it is to find good legendary sets, the fact that I don't look like a wizard or robot for max level makes it worth it.

4 RepliesNon upgradable year 1 weapons is fine, but I think we are just used to bungie releasing crap weapons in the so called "expansions"....which is why there are so many butt hurt over this. Understandable...but I'm a fan of evolution
-
6 RepliesThen why have weapon tuning 2.0 take place right before TTK drops, why at all ?!
-
1 ReplyI just want old legendary wep and gear accessible and not some random rare drop from the tiger strike
-
2 RepliesYall boring if you wanna use the same weapons over and over lol
-
I just hope that they'll find a way to get rid of the upgrade attack and defense nodes on at least exotic armor and weapons. If it's gonna stay like in the HoW upgrades then it'll be weird to have some exotics be different than new exotics and all the new gear since old gear is apparently irrelevant.
-
I didn't once see better story, or is it as rich and engaging as normal?
-
1 ReplyI am sure people are glad they grinded for that etheric light last week...
-
3 RepliesWhat is the point of this game? I'm really curious, and I don't think Bungie even knows the answer. I thought the grind was for gear, but apparently not. Why would you grind for obsolete items? Why even bother having them? When TTK comes out everyone's year 1 gear should just auto-dismantle. A full on sequel is one thing, but this is just another expansion. When Destiny 2 comes out everyone should have to start over, but all the weapons and gear from Destiny 1 should be viable for D1's entire lifetime. If people want to use Fatebringer 24/7 365 for their entire Destiny experience, Bungie shouldn't be handicapping that option.

So this is how I think it will work. All current gear/guns are effectively getting knocked down a tier. Current exotics will be on a par with the new legendaries and can be ascended back up to "uber" class with a new item. (Basically the same as we do with current raid armour to get it up to lvl 42.) They will still make those gear and guns relevant to the current game content. (So fatebringer, etc will still be op on vog/crota, etc but it won't be as effective on the new content.) If you want to do the new top tier challenges, you will need the new top tier guns/gear. It's basically the same as what we already have, you could in theory tackle skolas now with all white gear, but you wouldn't want to. We will end up with different outfits for different challenges. (Again no different to the armour variks sells now.) So all in all, it's actually just more of the same and I think some people are getting carried away.

2 Replies'Not Progressing in Power' isn't the same as not being upgradable. Don't jump to conclusions until you get all the facts.

5 RepliesEdited by Psycho Justin: 8/4/2015 5:45:16 PMSo I notice only legendary stuff is listed. Exotics will be upgrading? Another thing...were all going back to level 20, I think?

On e again the cat is out of the bag pre-approval. What public relations fiasco will happen next!? #toomanyindiansnotenuffchiefs

WHO CARES. USE DIFFERENT SHIT
-
1 ReplyDoes that mean year one exotics will be upgradeable to stack up with year two exotics?

Edited by KannibalKlown: 8/4/2015 5:49:27 PMI'm fine with it If anything else it means weapon and armor and appearance diversity for the next few weeks or months Until the new OP combinations are found for each level
