I've always been a min/maxer by nature. Comes with spending years of playing end-game in MMOs, so you could be right about that. That does nothing to change that I'm 100% correct here.
In most cases, particularly in crucible, there's no one right answer. What works well for one player may not for another. All I'm saying is for most players that are rather skilled with shotguns, they'd see even better performance using LoW over other shotguns.

You've gone strangely quiet when I asked do you have a max range FL or Mat with SP... I wonder why that is... It's because you don't own one, I knew I was dealing with someone who has an uninformed opinion, but at least I know it is -literally- uninformed now. Using your own words, some people only use a certain kind of weapon because they don't own something else... Oh dear. Using your own words you admitted in a previous comment that shotguns are actually better than the LOW. LOW is good for killing utter trash player that just charge straight at you, however if you play against people that have thumbs who are even remotely proficient with a shotty, they will take your head off over and over and over again, they won't give you the chance to exploit the tiny bit of extra range, to be honest even a moderately skilled guardian will close down that space quicker than you can pull the trigger. If you actually listened to other people you might learn and become a better player, as it is I don't mind, stick to your own opinion and keep your trash negative K/D, you're just more garbage to mop up in the crucible :'D Didn't take long to make a mockery of you.
took even less time to mute you
Couldn't respond because I'm at work now, but I have both. It's adorable that you call me insecure when you're the one bashing k/d (which isn't much lower than yours) because you can't actually win the orignal argument. That approach may work on forums but you're going to have a rough time if you think that's going to work once you're out of high school, kiddo.

You must be a very insecure person to have to keep stating "I'm 100% correct." Because no-one has argued that LOW has base higher range than other shotties, that doesn't make it better though. Wait, do you have a Felwinter or a Matador with max range + shot package?

You seem to be misunderstanding. In a one on one scenario, from max range, Lord of Wolves always wins. Is it always the best option? No. I never said it was. Only in the circumstances in which 1) you see the enemy coming, 2) you have your weapon ready, and 3) you fire the second they enter the kill zone. Meeting those 3 criteria, LoW cannot lose to another shotgun. If you're within shotgun range of a regular shotgun, wielding LoW, you'll lose.

I don't know man I can't hate on L.O.W because it's one of my favorite guns, but I almost never get killed by it in crucible 1 on 1... Which either means all L.O.W users in crucible suck, or the movement really works against its pulse fire mechanic... I'll have to try it out Shotgun I'm using now is OG felwinters with shot package, hammer forged, AB, and litc

The odds of all 3 of those criteria coming together against good players is slim, but I've had quite a few instances where noobs run straight at me, shotgun out, only to be mowed down by LoW before they an get within range to kill me. In most cases, you won't find yourself in those circumstances, which is why most players prefer other shotguns. I typically run with Matador or a sniper for Trials, but close quarters maps like Thieves Den I usually roll with LoW in normal crucible and I've improved my game a bit with it.
