I spend a lot of time rerolling, and the new expansion has sorta helped. But i wish they had something similar to spinmetal, helium filaments, spiritbloom and relic iton. Like 10 vanguard/crucible marks for 10 weapon parts?

2 RepliesYes. I think the gunsmith should sell packs of weapon parts. I had like 2 thousand and wasted them all reforging :(
-
Run strikes. Your weapon parts will build up fast
-
2 RepliesDo you want them and everything else handed to you on silver -blam!-įng platter?
-
I have about 2000 so im not bothered with them
-
Have yet to even come close to running out. And I'm always re rolling and upgrading things.

2 RepliesI think they should take it easy with the whole reforging payment thing. Seriously, motes, glimmer, and weapon parts?? Jeez, and you can even choose the perks...They should've left it as only motes.
-
2 RepliesI have so many weapons with all the perks ready for unlocking but can't because no weapon parts. With the addition of reforging the wp balance got thrown right out of whack
-
1 ReplyI got like over 1k on my hunter I don't see how people run out of weapon parts lol
-
1 ReplyYou should be able to exchange plasteel plating (or whatever class you are) for weapon parts and vice versa

Edited by zxionisus: 8/4/2015 11:31:42 PMI think weapon parts have been relatively easy to get already. I've re-rolled 4 hand cannons, 4 snipers, 3 machine guns and 2 rocket launchers and still have a lot of parts left over. I'll equip them on my Titan and Warlock characters if you're interested. (I'd equip them in the Hunter too, but my son is playing on that character currently.) Pretty good rolls I think. That said, I think that weapon parts, plasteel plaiting, wire, hadronic essence and exotic shards should be added to the Speaker's exchange. That would be extremely helpful.

4 RepliesYou should be able to buy them from the gunsmith or faction vendors with marks. Very simple solution.

6 RepliesDon't let people fool you mate. Doing strikes only for weapon parts is mental and crazy!! The best and only economical way is: you unlock the osiris weapon on friday. After or before that, you get yourself the level 26 checkpoint at the timekeeper in VOG. Then watch a youtube video on how to farm in there. I myself manage to get around 30000 glimmer every 30 minutes. you head back to the osiris guy and buy the weapon over and over again. You instantly dismantle them and voila: 30 minutes and way over 100 weapon parts! Do that and soon you will have every weapon EXACTLY how you want it to be

Someone wrote something the other day that struck me as odd which I hadn't really considered prior to his statement. Why is it that we are able to purchase the "planet specific" mats but need to spend the time to farm weapon parts and class specific parts? The grind was reduced for the mundane items, yet it remains for the very mundane. That doesn't add up.

4 RepliesWell now that year one guns will not be upgrade able every gun is weapon parts
-
I don't think it should take 57 to upgrade an exotic
-
Do trials until you unlock weapon. Use all your glimmer to buy weapons and delete them. 2-3 weapon parts per. Way cheaper than the gunsmith.
-
4 RepliesWeapon parts are not hard to get. If you think they are, take this piece of advice. Walk away from the game now.
-
17 RepliesIt's really not that difficult. If you've been playing since at LEAST christmas you'd have well over 700 WP depending on the activities you did. I would recommend running strikes for weapon engrams and dismantling said weapons.
-
5 RepliesThey are easy to get simple - Do strikes - get useless rare engrams - turn in to rahool or ives - dismantle useless weapons - use weapon parts ;)
-
7 RepliesThere is something in destiny called "A STRIKE"
-
Yes 30 for 10 marks. Gives you 10 rolls. Still have to grind marks
-
No, make rolling actually count and nut just something you can keep rolling and rolling and rolling
-
Yes pls?!?!
-

That wouldn't be smart because if you want the perfect roll you have to spend the materials to get it, and if they were so easy to get then everyone would just have every perfectly rolled weapon without ever having to make a tough decision, like when you get 2 out of the 3 god perks that you wanted but you can deal with the 3rd perk so should you keep rolling? Or just take it while you can? If you had infinite weapon parts then you would never have to make that tough decision
