1 ReplyI've seen it. He makes some valid points. SOME. But he buries them under a mountain of assumptions and self references. Destiny isn't perfect. I agree that the Eurogamer interview felt like a slap in the face. I agree that Destiny is better now than it used to be. I also agree that there are going to be bundles and CEs throughout the next 10 years. As it is with every game. They go down in price as time goes on. A while after release, they release them together with DLCs to keep the game making a similar amount of money. Yes, we should be trying to get as much as we can for as little as we can. But that doesn't mean Destiny is some scheme to rob people. DBobbins is deliberately negative to attract viewers. Nothing more. You don't want to be tricked, don't listen to 2/3s of the things he says.

6 RepliesI watched the whole thing. As far as progression resets, its nothing new to MMO's or games with content expansions. It's part of the replay value. You have to level up to do the end game. I can see why hes bitter, but it's not anything new or uncommon. It is rewarding as well. As for waiting until it goes on sale? That's up to the consumer. Even if you spend $140 on this game in one year, the price tag isn't that bad. If you think about it, $40 is about 1 movie for 3 people. Or a baseball game. $40 is not anything too outlandish. Honestly, what I take from this whole thing is that people are not happy with how Bungie is bringing us Destiny. They don't like the pricing, the amount of content, etc. the list goes on. Nothing really new though. If you don't want to buy it, you don't have to. You can wait until the price goes down. But if in the meantime you are still playing Destiny while waiting, your priorities are misplaced.
