I've kept out of this topic because I know that the Dames don't need defending. Women are just as capable, either in playing video games or being total idiots. Both are not exclusive to the male gender. Of course, in an ideal world a group such as the Dames shouldn't [i]need[/i] to exist. But sexism is as old as religion, and certain attitudes can't be changed overnight, if at all. Some people will always be sexist, or misogynistic, either through experience or attitude or upbringing. Fact of life, and a sad one. Sometimes I think that the reason that so many guys dislike female gamers is that they see gaming as "their" hobby and feel threatened. Many of these are young, and I suspect not even sure how to even speak to them. (That was me when I was a teenager). So all they can do is talk down to them, because they want to look "cool" in front of their male peers. A shame, as they might miss out on a truly enlightening experience. As for me, I'm no white knight - just a gamer who knows men and women can both be as clever, and as stupid, as each other. And both be just as capable of cooking a stew or taking down Crota. As I said, a group such as the Dames shouldn't need to exist. But it does. Maybe we should ask ourselves why. But they don't need defending, as I'm sure they can more than look after themselves - white knights not required!

Right, so the bread is stale. Guess that means I get to write this sooner. [i]Sarcastic yey[/i] Can I start by pointing out about the statistics used. They seem to show an abnormal amount of indecent behaviour that is well above normal statistics. Well I am not stating that this means that the results are rigged, I am stating that this could be more of a local effect then anything else. One of the problems with this study is that it is unreliable, we are not told anything about those who are questioned, by which method they was formally interviewed and their relativity with the general poulation. That means that sociologically this study is already on it's weak legs. Also we are not even told really which country it was taken in which stops us from knowing which culture it is studying. The one that picked my atention the most will have to be the [b]37% has had a stranger masturbate in front of them[/b]. That is just the signs if a unhealthy population in that area. Seriously, that is not just society. Any [b]normal, healthy[/b] person does not think "oh aye, she's a looker. Lets get my plonker out and show her how handy I am." Seriously, if you are thinking like that then I recommend visiting saint cadoc's or which ever is your local mental treatment facility. Honestly, it is not normal. Next up, and this is me running off memory but you mentioned about Dad's of Destiny. Using it as justification for there being Dames of Destiny. I actually find this quite nonsensical. While they are an all male clan last time I checked(hence dads), it is no more sexist then a mother's forum board that you keep seeing posted online these days. I have a respect for Dads, not because I am a father because that will mean I have broken the age of consent law and I would be throttled by my parents for doing so(this is not to be taken literally) but because the fact is that being a father is quite stressful and means that your schedule is very rigid while not allowing much free time. I have four brothers and sisters and I am close to ripping my hair out, I can imagine how time consuming it would be to have to look after them. Next up, your first edit. The one about "Don't try to say that males have problems as well", some nonsense like that. I want to heavily disagree with that point, because there is a lot of sexism faced by males as well. They suffer more at school, they are subject to more physical violence due to societies expectations that are forced upon them at a young age. Mostly based around outdated religious qualms such as those found by christianity. I am not saying that men have it worse and it is hard to state which is actually worse because we are comparing two different spectrums conpletely here. Now, my final point and this is something I actually comment you on. Least you are not going around being a hypocrite about this. You are being firm in what you believe agaisnt the abuse that people are throwing at you and that is fine mate. That is actually pretty great that you manage to do so. This post I just made, my two cents on the matter from a sociological viewpoint. Edit: do not ever mess up your statistics again. You do not round up 99 to 100 you idiot. If you are trying to present sonething then do not go around and lie about statistics no matter if it is only one percent. You round up decimals usually for percentage, not the entire blood numbers just because 100 sounds larger. Edit 2: Just asked the closest female who happened to be my stepmother "have you ever been sexually harrased?" The answer was a simple "no". There we go, definitely not 100%

In society 80% of what u say is true, but from first hand experience just check out (some not all) dames of destiny members and their interactions on this very forum . I've seen what u speak of from both sides of this first hand and I gotta say it works both ways . When dads of destiny got a mention they coped it too . So when I don't disagree with u I also don't agree with u at the same time. Try to do some more research before posting a one sided propaganda campaign to put them on a pedestal.
