2 RepliesThe part I have a hard time with when people claim they didn't cheat is that there weren't even that many bans issued the last wave. It's not like tens of thousands were issued, hundreds were out of millions. Your brother's case I can understand. If he is constantly connecting with different setups and devices, it might have thrown out some red flags -- especially if using WiFi that a bunch of other military guys were on before resorting to the hotspot. Maybe he didn't do anything but other people on the router might have. However, the fact that you BOTH got banned when in different areas is suspicious. I don't see how you can fault us for being skeptical.

6 RepliesLoL. playing on a mobile hotspot or with poor internet speed doesn't even remotely resemble intentional network manipulation. There's no way Bungie would have mistakenly banned you for that. Also: no military branch I know of allows soldiers to take game consoles with them on training exercises.

5 Replies1: Doesn't the military base provide internet? My uncle and brother are both in the Navy and are stationed in the US with great internet at both bases. 2: I know phones can become hotspots, but I am pretty sure a game like destiny would drain so much of most phones limited monthly data that it would work to hotspot. There seems to be flaws in your story but even if it is true, you really shouldn't be playing online if your lag is that bad. It just ruins everyone else's games.

He clearly stated that his brother is based in the US, not active overseas in combat. He very much would have time for gaming.
