Etheric Light From Xur? Yes or No?
I am just curious of the community's standing on whether Xur should sell Etheric Light or not...
If you chose "Yes", please mention how many Strange Coins you think the Etheric Light should cost?
If you chose "No", please explain why you do not want Xur to sell Etheric Light.
My answer is Yes. I feel that it should be available to all players by way of Xur. Maybe one a week, per character, for 25 SC... I personally have plenty of Etheric Light from playing, but I have no problem with it being purchasable.

2 RepliesYes! Every iron banner week Xur could sell two light per character. You may ask why? Well it would keep me and my thorn out of the iron banner, because that's the only reason I play IB! Basically I go into the iron banner and use cheap tactics to get to rank 5, spoiling other peoples fun just to get light!

Edited by Sturm with no Drang: 8/2/2015 9:00:45 AMThe problem with Etheric Light is that there are pretty much only two ways to get it (excluding Nightfall): 1:HoW DLC 2:Iron Banner From what I've gathered, it's easy to earn Etherics if you do well in 1, but for the other mass of players who either cannot/have not purchased said dlc then they must resort to option 2. What I find ironic is that since [u][i]level advantages[/i][/u] are [b][i]enabled[/i][/b] in IB, there isn't much of a reason for the dlc players to participate if they've already participated in past IBs and purchased/received the gear and weps as they should already be well-stocked up on Etherics. Non-dlc players might have it rougher since there is a slight gap between light level 32 and 33/34 so when such a player wants to participate in IB then there'll be some disadvantages. The fact that a player is limited to purchasing just two Etherics per IB session shows how rare of a commodity it is; you'll have a better chance at energy, shards, and Raid gear in VoG which allows participation in two difficulties [b][i][u]every[/u][/i][/b] week. I'm not saying that the devs should make it ridiculously easy to earn them, but instead give more opportunities to earn them.

No There should rather be a lvl 35 VoG where etheric light drops out of chests (new ones?) and/or atheon Either way by doing trials and PoE you can amass etheric light like it was nothing. I have ascended different gear sets and weapons and still have about 20 - and i don't regilarly do this activities (no poe anymore, trials every now and then)

Well I can literally find 0 people to ever run anything with, I solo all of my nightfalls, I run Crucible by myself...I still need about 10 or 15 lights just for my favored weapons. Not to mention my other 2 characters need their armor ascended. 100% tired of doing shit by myself because of my entire friends list feels like it's just forgotten about me, and actively avoids me when I get online. Starting to make me feel like a piece of shit....*sigh*

Etheric light is the only slightly rare thing left. I know ppl who are still trying to get some. It would ruin etheric light like xur ruined exotics. He made them too easy to get, and I don't want to see that happen to etheric light too.

4 RepliesI have stacks of etheric light it's too easy to get you can get nine a week from trials three a week from nightfall and six from Poe each week and if iron banner is there you can get six more and all of this is that hard to do sure most people won't be able to get the most etheric possible but it's pretty easy to get regardless I mean I got enough to hit 34 on all characters and then used it on my guns and I only ascended the guns I use and I don't use a ton and now it is piling up in the vault I wish you could dismantle it for three strange coins each

Xur shouldn't exist. Prices are way too low and you can obtain motes and coins with next to no effort only way I'd ever support him selling etheric light is if it was for like10 exotic shards and 2500 glimmer or maybe 50 strange coins, 50 motes something like that. Him and rerolling all new weapons is half the reason crucible got so out of balance in the first place in my opinion.
