Would you guys let a guy w/ no mic run a raid with you?
I can always get one but just wanted to know if you needed it for raids or would get kicked if you didn't have one

I used to be the guy that would raid without a mic so I'm cool with it if they seem to know what they're doing and can handle whatever the raid throws at them.

I kinda knew a guy who didn't have a mic. His name was Murzealous. He was the very best Player I have seen in my life. The VoG was a breeze for him. He is also the best relic holder I have been in the presence of. When he was ready to shoot the Templar with the relic he would either dance or make the mute and unmute mic sound to signal us. Murzealous, if you are there, you may not remember me, but I will remember how much you made me better at Destiny. After that hard VoG raid, I dedicated most of my time to become as good as him. This is what made me a raid Sherpa. Now I help people learn the ropes of the raid.

It's typically fine with me until people I invite start adding more to the game leaving me with no empty slots to invite the rest of my Fireteam. Then I typically go down the list Non friends/Fireteam No mic/ no oracle disruptor weapons(vog hard only) Zero experience(hard only) Squeakers(sorry I seriously can't stand that)

Usually I would. Sometimes if the run is going poorly and the guy with no mic is the problem because he can't interact I'll kick him but otherwise it's fine.

As long as u can hear me and show sum sorta sign u have heard what ur role is then its all good

Doesn't bother me. As long as one person at least has a mic I'm good. You don't even have to talk but just knowing helps.

I ran VoG start to finish with ransoms when it was relevant and I had no mic. They are still on my friends list to this day.

2 RepliesYou really do need a mic mate , the game needs it to be fun I think and every one needs to be on point , and if your hard up you can use iPhone earphones they work ok .

If they have never done a raid they need to listen to instructions and it's difficult to be sure they are if they don't respond. Experienced players don't need it, but it's nice to chat.

It depends. If you've done the raid bunches of times, yeah. But don't lie. If you're not good at something, say you're not. If you don't have a mix and aren't good at something but say that you are? You get kicked

Decent people won't require you to have a mic. Anyone with a fair amount of skill can 2-man the Vault of Glass as well as solo Crota. If you get kicked in a Fireteam of 6 because you don't have a make then they must have troubles with Raids.

Only 2 events require a Mic. Skolas and ToO. If anyone else tells you need a Mic for the other stuff, tell them to stick to farming.

I dont have a mic and my friends have helped me. (I know i havent done alot, havent done them BECAUSE i dont have a mic) I see it as if they can here, or even if they already know how to do the raid, whats the problem?

No. And if youre a squeaker ill kick you and invite you back after you hit puberty.

If you know how the raid works you don't need a mic, I've run vog and crota without any mics all the time! If everyone knows what to do its easy, and you get to chill to some music without it going through the mic and annoying the others :D

I'd run someone with no mics through a raid I would invite them to the party and see if they can hear me through their TV it's pretty simple really
