Thorn needs to be banned from PvP
Thorn is way to overpowered in pvp they either need to nerf it more or ban it from pvp end of dicussion.

I've felt the effects of thorn. Being "devoured" in PVP feels cheap. Know what feels good though? Meeting that other dude in a gun fight and owning him EVEN when he uses thorn. I don't want em to nerf thorn or hawkmoon or any pvp weapon. The thorn bounty is a pain in the ass and the weapon is earned (nah, I don't have thorn). Let em use thorn. Let it burn too. Cuz if you have thorn? You still gotta have the reflexes to hit me. And if I still own you while you have thorn? Just a bigger statement made. You use a "burn" weapon and I still beat you on the draw. Look man each weapon has it's little perks and advantages. I can't stand thorn users (especially when a whole team is using them). But I've strolled into IB against thorn wielders and showed them up. I know we all have. I think it adds to my challenge. Want to use thorn? Don't cry like a bitch when I rapid fire you with Last Word. Don't complain when I'm regening like a boss with Red Death. Don't whine when I pop shot you with Hawkmoon. I say bring it. It's like football. When you thorn me, "I got your number". That's what it's supposed to be, a challenge. Play smarter. Reyreat from that burn. Shotgun the back of his head. Show him how to dance around bullets while putting a scout rifle clip into his head. That'll embarrass him. Play the match with the attitude of "I'm gonna make you feel like scum for using a powerful gun and killing you with my random legendary". Makes you change tactics. Move on the battlefield. Stick grenades to faces. Learn patience. Learn to cover. Mind -blam!- a thorn user. He thinks he's got a quick three shots. Make him aim down the sights and anxious. Jump like a boss. Team up. Rally on some fools. Thorn can kill, but it ain't god. Then laugh when you step over a thorn-wielders body.

I like the thorn in pvp and pve. I like the range and rate of fire and.... The Mark of the Devourer. Which after the nerf will then be called. The Mark of the Nibbler. No matter. I will still useee Thorn. I willl use even without Mark of Devourer. Dont need it in PvP just fun in PvE.

I have it, but I'm glad it's getting nerfed. It just sits there in my inventory all day. I never use it.

1 ReplyI believe they should keep Thorn in the game. The only beef I had with is the range. Currently you could shoot close and long range with same damage. It should, along with all the other hand cannons, have a fall off point. Yes you hit me but because you were across the map its not as effective. Ok you gunned me down at close range to medium range with two shots. Not a problem. Finally instead of saying it should be banned how about offering solutions? Ie.. they should buff everything else to equal the hand cannons. Or have the matchmaking sort thru the primaries on the Guardians before PvP. Then it could limit it to two or three hand cannons per team. Or have a specific type weapons match.. ie everyone has a Thorn for the match.

I agree the KT (Kill time) is like 1-2 seconds. Also I get pissed when I'm trying to do Iron Banner and a person comes through with thorn and rekts me.

Apart frorm that thorn users can be killed just as if not quicker with other weapons ie hawkmoon for 1

Agreed. That and last word. When 90% of people use these two guns, what does that say about the weapons and the people who play? Most people who play are -blam!-.

We already know that the Thorn is a pain the the butt, but I'm concerned about what's ahead. Chances are with the huge amount of new weapons coming there's gonna be one that's going to replace the Thorn and other high powered weapons.
