I've already been calling it hacky. Don't care if it's wrong.
-
Deej replied to More Console by saying it's pronounced "ha-kuh"
-
Well, i pronounce it "Häkke" just like it's written, since Ä is a common letter in my languageses (finnish and swedish) Can imagine it to be harder for americans, and people who don't have Ä in their languages though.. I've had some nog trouble with english pronouncement before too, but it has gotten a lot better now! All thanks to Destiny!

1 ReplyEdited by TeslaDoc: 7/26/2015 3:52:07 PMDoesn't the umlaut make a short vowel sound? That would make the "A" sound like an "ah" instead of an "ay".

Edited by CosmoJ: 7/26/2015 3:59:00 PMHah-keh
-
Hay kee
-
I say hay-kay. I always think of ä as being said as the letter, so yeah... I'm fairly certain I'm wrong, but oh well.
-
I've been using the Japanese pronunciation for it since the word to me looks Japanese So Hak-kay
-
I thought it was haw-Kay
-
For some reason beyond my comprehension (probably the will of the divines) I want to say it out loud as "ha-kak-ae" . -.
-
In European languages, the Ä is pronounced like an extended a. Sort of like "ae" So in order to say it according to that rule, it would be pronounced Hae-keh.
-
1 ReplyHadouken!!!!!!!! Well that clears that up

I've been pronouncing it hawk
