Gone are the days of $60 for a complete well balanced, 9.7 rated game which you played for 2+ years....now we pay $100+ for an unbalanced beta, still a work in progress that gets old after the first couple months and gets a 6.0 rating ....
To think there are people still willing to give money to these ass hat, cookie cutter quick money grab companies is sad and pathetic.
People like that are the real cancer to the gaming community. People like that justify these companies ripping the gamers off.

9 RepliesEdited by THE MUFFNMAN187: 7/25/2015 5:48:54 PMMost people that defend this game with the excuse of "I've never played a game that I've put this many hours in to so it's obviously worth the money" were virgins to grind type games and destiny popped their little cherry. So I understand their point but it still isn't a reason why this game should get a pass on being such a broken game. I'm personally a fan of grindy games which is why I obviously played this one but this is the laziest/ broken grind game I've played as well. Anyone who's played Mmo/ MMo influenced games can see the major flaws in this game, not to mention how poorly PR handles this game. It's embarrassing.

Oh the sheeple... So many sheeple

Destiny is a brilliant concept and obviously most of us enjoy it...the only problem (and its a big one) is the shockingly tiny amount of content compared to several other modern games out there....add 9 more planets, 30 more light levels, 10xmore gear, 30 more level levels, 20 more light levels, 7 or 8 more strikes, 3-4 more raids, a deeper story...and destiny is probably considered one of the top 5 best games of all time...but the content is tiny compared to other games

It's just the younger generation not knowing any different, then using mommy and daddies credit card to buy all the dlc.

That's why i still love nintendo

It's a bit fanatical, the level in which some people feel attached to the game and/or company. I can't fully understand it. I remember the first Halo and halo 2. This IS totally different but it seems like they aren't taking the same attitude and, well, love for the design as they did back in the old days. I don't hate destiny i just dislike the way they created a game with the most underutilized or unrealized potential and continue to drag their feet on fixes and further break the game by attempting to force folks into playing a certain way. I doubt, HIGHLY doubt, that i am alone in taking a leave from Destiny when TTK comes out. Not about money, i'm a 34yr old clin. Engineer, money is of no concern. What IS a concern is the track record of previous DLCs. Also, i am very very disappointed with the patch 2.0 notes. I love the buffs and i'll even say TLW/Thorn nerf was fine for the pvp guys, i get it, they were OP. The nerfs are confounding. But that's MY opinion and MY choice. No one is forcing me to buy the game and i don't need to convince people not to buy it. My wallet speaks louder than the best thread anyone has ever written. To people who are gonna continue on with Destiny i hope it's amazing. I WANT it to be great. obviously. It'll let me know that Destiny 2 is probably gonna be a great game and i can jump right back in.

I agree! Sad thing I enjoy it with friends. I can't wait for fallout 4 and battlefront. Bungievision is just trash. Community full of fanboys are trash! Look at all the choices and decisions Bungievision makes? To think otherwise is sad. One day a true gamers game like destiny will be what's it's about. Shooting and mmo, creativity, characters, story. Ect

1 ReplyActivision is the cancer that slowly ate away at Blizzard and Warcraft as well.

6 RepliesIt's called running a business. They have to make money too. They can't just make a game without a budget. It's simple marketing. Look at any other company in the world and realize that's how businesses work. Wether you realize it or not. It's arrogant to state they are scamming the community. Next generation games have a a higher quality of software that needs more money to run. Servers; believe it or not also require money to operate. So they more money they make, the longer they can keep the game running and advancing and keep the servers online for people to enjoy playing.

1 ReplyTHIS community is cancer. Lord forbid you have anything negative to say about the game without an army of fan boys coming to defend companies that couldn't give 2 shits about them. The argument of money to hours spent is probably one of the most asinine arguments I see fan boys use. Somebody can still take issue with a game and feel cheated and still play. Obviously there are aspects of the game that people enjoy despite its glaring issues.

2 RepliesWho's really to blame?? The gaming community or the publishers? On one hand, the gaming community has 'allowed' and to some degree accepted the current trend of games being release with 'cut content' or are full of bugs. On the flip side - you have the publishers that are allowing developers to release games not ready or force developers to 'lock' game content behind DLC or exclusives (timed or otherwise) So who really is at fault? IMHO - both are equally responsible for the current state of gaming, but I wouldn't go as far as calling them the 'cancer of the gaming community' There are far worse elements that I would considered to be the cancer.

11 RepliesDesticles are an embarassment. They are promoting bad business practices and games being chopped up to sell to us later. If they suceed with this game others will follow and do the same.

6 RepliesAnd 343, and EA, and Ubisoft... I mean seriously, what developer hasn't done this?

1 ReplyNot that I disagree, but social media has argueably had the biggest effect on current gaming.

6 RepliesI've gone back to WoW....you know, the game that lives up to the MMO experience. I'll probably pick Destiny up again when they stop shoving bread and butter content down the consumers throats. Bungie really need to stop running away with the concept of "listening to the community." IMO if they work on fixing the base game before they release more content, they'll be much more successful. They can't even get a weapon balance right let alone fix the bigger problem of lag comp causing more lag. This game isn't new, Bungie hopped into bed with Activision so they could use their Call Of Duty mechanics. Reskin after reskin, running backwards through old content and calling it new content. TTK looks like a reskin fest, they couldn't even get an actor to voice ours ghosts in HoW. If you pick at this game the die hard fan boy's will call you cancer. But in reality this game is a scandalous, over priced, over hyped, incomplete, broken, confused mess of a game with an even more confused mess of a community. Before you say it I HAVE MOVED ON, for now that is. I'm sure I will love this game once more after Bungie pull their finger out and raise an angered fist at Activision, retract their contract and finally make this game.

2 RepliesThey are called low information consumers, every marketing teams dream customer. It's almost like they are demanding low quality at a premium price...

3 RepliesGaming went downhill since the Internet went online.....why?........because ever since games developers dont have to make their games perfect, they can just put a lot of crap together then patch it later with updates. Gaming will never be the same and devs will just get lazier, all thanks to the Internet.
-
Been saying the same thing for weeks. The fanboys rush to Bungievision's defense, relentlessly singing praises for a game that should not have been released in the condition it was. It should have been n delayed.
-
2 Replies1000 hours out of Destiny for £80. I can spend £80 on a bag of weed and it's gone within a day, Destiny was a fcuking bargain mate!

4 RepliesEdited by Doc SoCal: 7/25/2015 3:16:44 PMI love the egos on the video game haters who really think they will make a difference by running around bashing ANY game. It has become a true sub-class of gamer. So adorable... You may as well go piss in a fan and tell everyone how you can prove its raining... They really don't see how pathetic they are as people with integrity just walk away when they don't like something. At least these type of posts make it easy to add to the ever growing mute list.
-
If I was Bungie, I would auto-ban people like this, as well as all the "I quit" posters. Less d-bags to play with.
-
Yea its bullshit! You should totally leave the forums and never come back. That will show those bastards lol

22 RepliesDestiny is complete. It doesn't live up to expectations that we "the community" put on it. Shooting stuff with friends is fun. Cant anything else just be icing on the cake?
-
It's a fun game for me. Gotten my money's worth 10 times over compared to the amount of time I've played other games. Fan boys/ supporters are typically positive people, so saying they are a cancer is not an accurate statement. In fact, I would say negative people like yourself are more cancerous for the community
