How on God's wasteland of a planet was the hunter ever supposed to solo The Will of Crota as a nightfall?

3 RepliesI soloed it. I went through the first part with blade dancer. Once I got to omnigul, she was down in 3 gjallarhorn rockets and 2 shots with GG using celestial nighthawk. Just be patient, keep in cover, and make your critical shots count! Fatebringer helps. Also, a huge factor in the actual omnigul fight is minion control.

4 RepliesIt's really easy to solo. just stay back and be safe. that simple. Run fate ringer just for arc primary and firefly. You'll get it done no problem. If you have a ghorn make sure to clear adds first then shoot her. take your time. No ghorn, still use other solar heavies

3 RepliesEdited by TheSneakerFlip: 7/22/2015 2:00:11 PMPatience and determination. Will of Crota is way easy for me as a hunter, especially with rainbow burns. I just solo'd it yesterday, got an Ice Breaker as a reward and got the Walking Tall bounty as well. Used Six Dreg Pride II(Solar Burn), Vestian Dynasty/LDR 5001( both Arc) and Gjallarhorn/Truth combo(Solar and Void). The only strike i have trouble solo is the Taniks one. My trick for the first part? Kill the captains, the snipers and then the shanks and vandals. Once yhe hive come out, let them kill each other off(hive and fallen). Dispose of the remaining enemies and switch to a sniper for the second part. Once you get that the last part is pretty easy, open the gate, jump on the platform and shoot the enemies omnigul sends your way. Onmigul herself is easy, the trick is to kill off all the enemies so she is left then spam her with rockets, Truth, Ghorn, HoC and i also used an Arc Dreamwaker when it was only arc burn. Its pretty easy and i use Bladedancer.

2 RepliesEdited by SenfFeetPics: 7/22/2015 1:53:40 PMGet the scorch cannon from the wolves in Skywatch. Just drop it, kill a few enemies, pick it back up. Rinse. Repeat. Then hit her a couple times with the cannon. Problem solved. Problem staying solved.

3 RepliesI'm sure the Celestial Nighthawk will get the job done quickly thanks to the Solar Burn?

1 ReplySoloing nightfalls just isn't worthwhile. It takes you longer due to having to pull back as the only target, dying wastes a good bit of time, and the forums always have people looking to do it. While I have soloed multiple times the glory just isn't worth it at all versus getting it done quick and efficient.

2 RepliesHunters were only meant to hide in corners, invisible and revive useful teammates if needed at all.
-
If it's arc burn, I usually don't try to solo it. Once was enough for the rest of Destiny.

Use the backroom across from the hidden boomer. Hide in the left front corner and take potshots.

3 RepliesInvisibility helps a lot. Take it slow, stay back and grenades help a lot. Keep a good eye on your surroundings, specially the last part.
