Sign here if you want Bungie to explain why they removed Gjallarhorn from Xur this week.
Plain and simple Bungie. Just tell us what really happened.
EDIT: Since my comment is going to be drowned out by the other people excited that DeeJ made an appearence, Here is my response.
"I appreciate the response DeeJ, I really do. I just need a little bit better response than that. How did he glitch? What caused him to glitch in the first place? Xur has been up and running for almost a year and has not had a problem until today. Vague post is vague"

This is a typical cryptic or non- response from bungie. Its a f'ing game so why they cant just tell us what happened is beyond me. You would have thought I'd that were the case then the mobile app would have been messed up where it shows his wares. Oh well, more of the same bullshit, what else do you expect?

IDRC if it was ghorn, but I'm also damn sure Bungie doesn't plan to put out whatever weapon it was alongside the new one next week as an apology.... Nope.... now whatever he was selling is gone... oh well, hope you had it already.

It actually most likely wasnt ghorn. I thought it was but what makes more sense would be a ps exclusive and xur's coding wouldnt like that so they had to remove it obviously and they couldnt add anything else in without screwing up his coding anymore. That is probably what happened.

If I was still on the hunt for a ghorn I'd be absolutely fuming. It's just to suspicious that he turns up without a weapon. While I do think the pictures are fake there is something more going on that they're not telling us. They have proved in the past they can manipulate his stock. They changed purple plasma drive to a red one and they even extended his duration once. So all this talk about they can't manipulate a live server is bollocks.

1 ReplyMost likely the programme has xur choose a weapon from the random list say 1-10... Then when a weapon was removed from list for whatever reason, the programmers would have mistakenly not added a new weapon into the field... Bungie could have corrected the error but a system restart would have been needed which can usually cause more problems when not scheduled, or they could have hit a reset on xur, but then the other exotics would have been re-rolled and other items become available which would have pissed people off also if they spent coins etc... They chose the lesser of two evils and are taking the heat for it, but more transparent communication from Bungie would be nice. Rather than the 'by the book' customer service bullshit they feed us... TL;DR.... -blam!- you, read the post you lazy shit

He didn't glitch. My thinking is that the new weapon patch is going to be released next week, and they didn't want everyone to finally get gjallarhorn that didn't have it, only to get it nerfed in the next week or two. They want to nerf it before they sell it. It cuts down on the dissension on the forums for nerfing the most powerful rocket launcher in the game just after its sold.

26 RepliesSo, where's your confirmation that Xur was supposed to sell ghorn? Also, why isn't Deej's response adequate? He answered the question didn't he? Maybe he didn't say what Xur was selling because, oh, I don't know, THEY'VE ONLY SAID A MILLION TIMES THAT THEY DON'T CONTROL HIM. (Well, not in a literal sense.... I mean, they have his coding, but they don't manipulate it). What if Xur was supposed to sell Thunderlord? He's never (to my knowledge) sold that, so perhaps there was something in TL's coding that made Xur bug out? Just because there's no weapon, doesn't mean he was going to sell the noob dildo. It means that for some odd reason, the weapon spot glitched for the week.
