If you don't have a gally you won't be in my raids.
Dear fellow gaurdians I've never use to be like this but, after the gally nerf I will require a whole team of gallys to do the damage I used to do with 3-4 so now I need all 6. If you don't have one I'm not raiding with you. Until months into the DLC and have adequate replacements. I'm sorry but don't blame me; blame bungie. They think this will make the game more accessible to players who [b]don't[/b] have it but really now you are going to [b]need[/b] one for a spot in my fire team. This is how I am combating the nerf. Good going bungie.

Edit: I used to carry people through crota hard every week because you only needed 2 and everyone else didn't even have to shoot crota, but now you won't be able to do that so I'm sorry but you won't be in my fireteam without one. The days of the backpack are over gaurdians.
Edit: I am not saying I need gally to get things done I am saying now you need one to get on my fireteam
Edit: okay so some of you aren't seeing that the first part is more like an observation people will make when compiling raid groups it ie [b]NOT[/b] necessarily my opinion, however I will not allow non gally users into my group in protest for a while and encourage others to do so until a solution has been found.

The fact is that casual/shitty players need ghally to be an exotic that keeps them on pace with those carrying them through raids, nightfalls, etc. You are nerfing the shitty players you want to keep around Bungie, and as this player states, we 'help' those around us but we aren't a charitable organization here to clean up your shitstorm.

I know there are people out there who truly deserve a Gally, stay strong Guardians! I have 3 Gallys, I wouldn't mind gifting 2, If only I could.... ohh well.

They suck and bitch about dying. My raid teams don't use Gjallarhorn and shun the ones who require it. It's a shame u would exclude the better players from a fire team over the fact they have a Gjallarhorn. Today I did the Strike playlist with my little brother and his friend (they have two ghorns). And every time someone died, they were forced to say "I love dick" needless to say, the Gjallarhorn didn't protect them from the embarrassment.

I've done Vog hard 16 times and Crota hard 11 times and in my opinion neither raid requires a gallahjorn, machine gun for Vog and tracking rockets for crota that's it. The fact that you would not raid with anyone else at this point because they don't have gallahjorn is sad and pathetic, and only proves true that people like you who would rather take someone with gallahjorn rather than any tracking rocket use gallahjorn as a CRUTCH.

3 RepliesNever asked for one, but I am considering asking for it after the nerf. Because at least for Crota they came out with the HoC as a substitute rocket, actually useful for the fight. For HoW? Rocket with bonus damage to Vandals? Go to hell...get a Gjally!

7 RepliesThe real problem is, too many people are going to see it this way. You never needed 5 gallys to down Crota. 2 was always the max "needed" to make it easy. In reality, all you needed was a full compliment of tracking rockets to be safe. BUT. There were always asshats who wanted a full squad of gallys and there always will be. Now, with the Nerf, those guys will always be demanding only gallys even after its proven you still don't need 5 to knock him down. You'll still only need 2 at most but until we have a new OP launcher, the elitism will be even worse.

7 RepliesPerhaps if there wasn't so much importance put on the Gally in the first place this wouldn't have been an issue at all? Maybe not you, but to be fair I did actually see plenty of people refusing to team up with anyone who did not have a Gally, even going so far as to call anyone that didn't have one a "bad player" by comparison, for no other reason other than them not having one. I personally think they should keep the Gally as it was and instead give all other Rocket Launchers more of a boost to make more viable, just as effective options so that the Gally becomes more of a personal preference instead of a supposed "end all" Heavy Weapon by popular opinion.

With the mods on skolas, Gally is nerfed most of the time, its better to not use rockets on atheon, and you only need tracking for crota. Five tracking rockets will down crota quite well. Sooo Gally is overhyped and not needed. In truth, icebreaker should be coveted. As soon as I got thing, nightfall solos were noooooo problems.
