The Gjallarhorn is the most powerful weapon in the game. So powerful that people began blocking people from raids in lfgs if theh didnt have a gjallarhorn. Now people will be able to diversify their exotic choices depending on play style without sacrificing the firepower possible with the Gjallarhorn
Edit: i was not expecting 400+ replies, wow, you people are passionate about your ghorns

I'm happy. People will learn the word "teamwork"
-
No, you're not alone. I think Bungie made a good call, and we shall see how it pans out.
-
I have no issue with nerfing Ghally but was that the most important balance issue in the game ? No Ghally just made the boss killing a bit easier. Thats all It didn't create any tension or differences in PVP side at all. Nerfing Ghally plus 2 other boss killer weapon IB and BH clearly highlights that Bungie is lying us and using the LFG as an excuse to hide their attempt to artificially increase game time.
-
-
If they put in optional matchmaking, people being blocked on LFG wouldn't be a problem no more. Their reasoning for the nerf is wrong.
-
Only bitches and people without Gally like this nerf.

-
U r alone

This will just cause 1 of 2 things (or maybe both) : 1) everyone will REQUIRE 3 gallerboners bcuz they aren't as great anymore 2) people won't play anymore bcuz gallerballer is the only exotic they need and now it won't be as good.
-
As long as you can still down crota on hard with 2 gally shots its fine.
-
Agreed, it was (is) game-breaking.
-
-
2 RepliesAgree. Did you see the stats for pve they posted? Like 25% of people use it in pve lol
-
I like it, since Atheon, Crota, every single boss got Gjallarhorned and killed so fast, now will be more challenging maybe?
-
Nope you're wrong and I never kicked someone because they didn't have Gally but because of all you whiners it got nerfed so for now on I will be kicking anyone from my group that does not have it
-
Should have just had xur sell it
-
1 ReplyThey could give a shit about GHORN people not playing with people without it. If they did they would have nerfed it long ago. It got nerfed because the idiots at bungie are scared we will GHORN our way thru the taken king in a day just like we did with all the other dlc.
-
I think it was justified
-
The nerf will expose the scrubs who hide behind Gjallarhorn. I am upset about the Ice Breaker nerf. Why?
-
-blam!- the naysayers. Gjallarhorn needs a nerf plain and simple. I love the weapon for sure but it's just a beast. The fact people get locked out of activities by noobs relying on it as well is just pathetic and needs addressing. Just hope we don't end with a situation where the same noobs just want MOAR GALLEYOS to make up for lack of teamwork.
-
Nope.
-
Nope I completely agree with it and pretty much everything they did to the weapons
-
1 ReplyHere is the issue. Even if they nerf wolf pack rounds by 75%, gjallarhorn will still be the most powerful rocket launcher in the game. Where as most raid teams and level 35 Poe teams only needed one or two gjallarhorns to get by, now players without gjallarhorn, will just be locked out of content. Rather than nerf the gjallarhorn outright, they should have buffed the initial damage from all rocket launchers and then put in a nerf to WPRs. So slightly lowering the overall damage of the gjallarhorn but bring other rockets up to par so the difference isn't so great.

Edited by FearingDeath777: 7/17/2015 3:56:26 PMNo you are not. Why should one exotic heavy rocket launcher be so much better then the others? Anyone who bitches is just salty.
-
1 ReplyNope. I feel like it was over praised in all honesty
-
You're not alone, I took one look at that chart they had of how many people use Gjallarhorn in PvE and I instantly agreed with them
