Weapon tuning 2.0 is the worst yet
LOL okay, so yeah thorn and TLW needed nerfed. But this? This bungie is out of control now you nearly nerfed half of the -blam!-ing guns in the game! I understand with such a -blam!-ing mangled community it's hard to satisfy even half of the game but we don't need this! Last time I checked no one, not one person was complaining about pulse rifles but hey I'm bungie so let's -blam!-ing nerf it!
The ice breaker? Who the balls was complaining saying "Wow bungie the ice breaker gets its ammo too quick!"
Probably not anyone.
Scout rifles? When the -blam!- did they need a buff? LOL okay In b4 the complaints of scout rifle nerfs.
Btw auto rifles will still be balls in this game. Slowly turn this game into a nerf show. Slowly this it's going take the same amount of time to kill a guardian as it does to kill someone in halo.
Finally thorn, ahhh thorn the holy grail of superior weapons. I was expecting a nerf to the max what do they do? Lower DoT but don't worry we will balance it with stacks.

2 RepliesI don't get why people think that the nerfs come from people complaining. Thru come from interpreting the data, and trying to optimize ranges and roles for the weapon classes.

I'm fine with all the nerfs. Icebreaker is just 3 seconds extra so get over it. Black Hammer was because of the people cheesing bosses and sitting in the back of the map so you did it to yourselves

2 RepliesFor one scouts didn't get a buff. Unless you count that thorn can't compete with them anymore at a distance. And two you complain that everything is getting nerfed and also that thorn didn't get nerfed enough. A little contradictory. And the big one - none of us have played the update yet...

You do realize that there will be a bunch of weapon tuning through Destiny's lifespan, right? Believe it or not, they listen to us and give us what we want. They only did a few nerfs that seem bad because they wanted to balance out uses of other rocket launchers, and they didn't want Black Hammer to be an even better Ice Breaker. But idk about the nerf on Ice breaker honestly.

From a PvE PoV nothing positive came out of it except for the auto rifle buff. The changes are massive for PvP though but it isn't a step forward if it turns out the new TTK weapons don't have the same fun factor as the vanilla weapons.

If all the old guns are to to good coming into taken king then will you use the new weapons? I want to use new weapons! I'm so sick of using fatebringer black hammer and gally to beat bosses in pve. Thorn felwinters and corrective in pvp. I want to be able to use the weapons too!!!

My feelings that I posted. : First off, thank you Bungie for all the countless hours I have played and enjoyed. With an immense amount of gratitude I will tell you that for me the 2.0 Weapon Update was a BIG BUZZ KILL. In my humble opinion you guys shouldn't have waited so long, and you shouldn't have condensed EVERY SINGLE weapon tweak all on one update. It's too much, and what I mean by that is, as a summary your weapon update is just ONE BIG NERF. That's what many of us feel. I suggest you communicate better with us and most of all ACKNOWLEDGE MUCH SOONER than you did. I have a feeling you have pissed a lot of gamers off, and I would recommend strategizing a little differently next time when you decide to change the outcome of the whole entire game with weapon balance. I'll see when you release TTK and hope you listen to your loyal fan base. Peace.

Increasing the TTK to levels closer to halo is a good thing. Short TTK games like cod are all about who sees who first. Halo TTK levels bring out the skill gap.

6 RepliesThe illiterate reveal themselves. Obviously you don't understand what Bungie did; they're changing the entire gun game. Weapon damage fall off and intended range are going finally matter. Cry all you want about your omnipotent Thorn, Black Hammer, or Ice Breaker; but this is what Destiny needs.
