The last exotic... For now
So I'm just a short waiting period and a few thousand points away from acquiring Dreg's Promise, and I'm super excited. Not only am I excited for the gun but it also means that I have only one more exotic weapon to collect. Any one want to take a guess as to what it may be?

So I know you need to kill blades of Crota to get the Husk of the pit, but does anyone know the drop rate of it or if it's RNG? I plan just repeating the story mission where the acolytes summon the blade of Crota until one drops for me. So my question is this: is there a faster way than this or am I going about this the right way?

Have the eidolons ally but just cant get the crux. Been completing hard crota 3 times every week from January to april, just wont drop for me...

Read the numerous related threads about the Husk of the Pit. There are several of them every day. You might not be able to obtain the gun anymore. There has been a dramatic decline in the drop rate since the release of HoW. I myself have run Fist of Crota 350+ times without success. Other gamers have reported much higher failure rates with the highest one being 1,500 attempts!

Iv given up trying to get a husk after many hours of farming that mission I know that I'm going to have to 1 day tho just for the collection gota catch them all after all

It is RNG. Some it drops quickly for, others are screwed.

That gun is such a piece of shit. I have a crux of Crota in my vault because I can't be bothered to upgrade a 2nd one, it's that bad.

3 RepliesI have killed the blade in the 1st Crota mission at least 500 or 600 times and haven't got the husk. I gave up weeks ago.

4 RepliesIf you're talking about the first mission for Crota where you spawn by the fallen walker and drive past omnigul to the knight inside, you're doing it right. I know someone who got it on try 3, for me it took me like roughly 50 runs to get it. Once you get it the grind is real, to upgrade it to Eidolon Ally you need like 500 hive kills IIRC. Good luck getting your necrochasm, it's a bad gun lol

That mission is the fastest way. Just hop on your sparrow and zoom over there. Took me about 2 hours (unlucky). The fun part? After getting it, just doing bounties got 2 to drop in back-to-back runs. RNGesus, you cruel bastard.

1 ReplyIt's RNG. Same as everything else in the game. Ignore the gentleman below saying you need to be a low level. That's false. Farm 1st Dark Below mission and you'll be set.
