Useless polls regarding any of the above topics. Did I mention trolling yet? Creating lists (similar to this one). Elitist remarks (git gud, scrub, scrublord, scrubereino, fgt). If you lie about something, we'll know it very quickly. Secret advice POTATO - use your "Mute" option frequently and without mercy. The people that need to be muted will very quickly identify themselves. They are for posting obviously... The question is what do people choose to post, and what will you choose to read... Historically gaming forums were populated by the most hardcore, quirky, or those interested in writing about and reading about a favorite game. People simply looking for information would come and go while many would frequently return for the community aspects that evolve from shared conjecture. Nowadays with the introduction of smart devices as part of a broadband telecommunications network the interface to message boards is now accessible to far more people. From what was largely a home computer to anyone with a data plan the landscape of users has drastically changed... In my experience many of the users here are interested in being irritated/ irritating... Some seek fame, others seek a following to join... Either way the core is absent because meaningful conjecture doesn't take place, simply because the majority of users care less about the subject than they do thier own amusement.
