My reasoning for this statement? Well I know because it's either one of two things: 1. That emblem is their biggest achievement in pvp,so they want everyone to see that they're "bad ass" 2. They just sat in a backpack coming along for a free-ride
In my eyes at-least, the ones I see "tryharding" use that emblem as a scare tactic for those who haven't gone flawless yet. I see through that facade of a "hey I'm flawless you better watch out!". I'm immune to that Jedi mind trickery!
(I wonder how many people read up to this point)
Since the carrying of people to the lighthouse began, the emblem became less of a sign of elitism and more of a sign of, "I got carried" or "I can't comprehend getting headshots because I final round to win".
TL;DR If I see that flawless emblem, I know it's an easy win.
EDIT: To clarify, when I say a person using the flawless emblem, I really mean full teams of 3-6 using the emblem exclusively.
EDIT 2: I don't mind you simply liking the emblem because of the look, this post addresses the people who think they're hot shit because of it.
A LOT of people skipping over edit 2 before they comment...
EDIT 3: a lot of the insulting comments I'm getting seem to be from the type of people I'm addressing. I laugh at everyone who thinks I've never gone flawless. I will not throw insults at you unless you do so to me. We clear?
Final Edit: look, before you post, consider reading the above edits. Okay? Cool. I don't give a flying -blam!-, wether you have it or not. Some people seem to think this is about me not wanting average players to have the emblem. This is far from reality. [u]This post gives my perspective on groups (as I specified in an earlier edit) being easy wins USUALLY, not always, in crucible because of certain situations on how some players have obtained them. 2 RepliesHow about we make it where you can only get the emblem after going flawless 9 times in a row... flawlessly. Happy?

I'll admit, I am garbage during regular crucible. However, I do alright in Iron Banner and Trials. I wear my trials emblem because I do feel like it's my greatest accomplishment in destiny

Personally, most people I've come across in the crucible with that emblem have been pretty good. Maybe ran into a couple since the release that were not. I don't really care either way. I have good and bad days in the crucible like most others.

1 ReplyA lot of people didn't read past the title. The OP made an opinion based on his experiences. I can't say mine are fair off either. Most people I see playing in trials with that emblem leave me scratching my head on how they got it. That bring said the OP never said all people that wear the emblem are bad. I'll wear the emblem sometimes. People that take this post offensive care too much what others think. I see comments calling the OP bad but u have never play with or against him. You made an opinion just like he is.

I stick to field of light Lol old vanilla emblem been equipped since day 1 never taken off. Lol

Edited by Aviixe: 7/13/2015 7:55:53 PMI wear it, because it's an awesome looking emblem. :/

He he he... Jedi mind trickery... "These are not the Guardians you are looking for..." "Oh no... That team has gone Flawless. Must find new challengers." -backs out and gets hit with ban hammer- It is just an emblem people. I haven't gone to the Lighthouse, but to be honest haven't really tried ToO in a few weeks (was tired of being the last one alive on my team 9 times outta 10). But when I saw that emblem, I did not run. Take your whooping like an adult, come back and fight another day. I would much rather lose every time than run the risk of being banned. I won't even run from a group of self-rezzing Warlocks rocking The Ram and Thorn. Just kill me and let's move on. XD
-
2 RepliesWell at least it helps to determine who is gonna be using thorn and a shotgun in the regular crucible matches, don't even need to check their profile.

I played the trials for the first time this past week with two buddies who had also never experienced it. We went 9-1 losing our last game to some guys wearing that emblem 0-5. The thing is we best probably 5 other teams with that emblem and 3 of them we won 5-0. So basically what I'm trying to say is that emblem has almost key word is almost no meaning. I'll probably never wear it if I do attain it and personally I don't like how it looks. I'd rather wear my iron banner wolf emblem or thorium leaf as I usually do

Alright I'll take your bait I've been to the lighthouse twice, both times I went to lfg and put a group of avg pvp players together and we did it. Look at my stats, I'm avg at best at pvp so for me it was a pretty nice achievement and therefore I sometimes display my emblem. Sorry it bothers your delicate feelings but for guys like me who aren't beast crucible players it took time, luck, and learning how to be successful for us to earn that emblem I wasn't carried and didn't cheat, but according to you I shouldn't use it because I'm not top 1% etc? My response...fvck off, for some of us it was a challenge and for us to earn it took a bunch of time and dedication. I'll display it and it was an achievement for me personally since I'm a pve player primarily
-
I see them go 0.9 k/dr and they thorn all the time
-
This post gave me so many giggles.
-
I don't wear it during trials, but I do wear it during dragon strikes because it looks good. A lot of people wear them loud and proud, which is why I don't wear mine as much as I did the first few weeks I got them.

Edited by Parad0x: 7/13/2015 7:30:54 PMI've gone flawless and wasn't carried we all did bad then really good it was even. I do.t try in normal crucible I'm usually upgraded guns or doing challenges with friends lr teaching one of my friends how to smile like I've been doing the past few days.
I hate the look of the emblem though only reason I wear it is because it's the only exotic atm
-
2 RepliesI completely agree with you! But to be fair. There is still only a small percentage of destiny players that actually have it. I use the emblem on my PvP character just because I like the look of it. I have all the Osiris emblems but I like the flawless one the most. And yes I do use the occasional thorn or final round spear but they are good guns the same as the messenger. Why would I use a bad gun in an "elite" game mode? Doesn't make sense.
-
I have flawless emblem and ill think you find I'm really good at crucible. I just went 6-17 with 2 captures..
goml
-
I just like the look of it. And I'm actually pretty decent in regular crucible. My trials stats are ugly at the moment.
-
3 RepliesThere should be a mark of the unbroken emblem
-
It's an ugly ass emblem anyways. It's a shame it's the only exotic one. I'm tempted to put it on for that reason only but no.
-
People can use whatever emblem they like, it does not measure their skill in any way.

1 ReplyThanks baby (:

I'm gonna be honest I'm terrible. The only way i can get flawless would be being carried.
