Thorn was my first exotic, and then I got my second about 1 minute later by buying a chest engram from Xur and getting Lucky Raspberry.

On Xbox One it was super good advice right near the release of the game. Pretty disappointing as it's control was shocking. Just got destiny on PS4 and first exotic is Hawkmoon I was so stoked.

Icebreaker from the very first nightfall. As a level 26, it was difficult. Getting an icebreaker that soon alongside that just made completing it all the better.
