Destiny Sexism
It has recently come to my attention that Variks is a female..... Lmfao.
Discuss (or not) whether the decision to hire a male voice actor was meaningfully intentional, arbitrarily unconventional, or a last minute hire in lieu of Eartha Kitt.

But these "issues" you bring up are pretty unimportant and kinda annoying. Society nowadays looks for the slightest possible indication of prejudice in everything! It's tearing this world apart. Everyone is jabbing at eachother finding reasons to complain and to argue. It's just a game. Exos, like others have already stated, were created by men. They were then mimicked to fit our idea of male and female. Why is it a problem that they put breasts on a robot? We women have breasts! I honestly have no intention of wanting to be a male or pretend in a game that I have a penis. I enjoy being a woman and killing everything and anything (men, women, robot or alien). I love my exo! And Bungie gave them the best dance emote that's for sure...don't see you complaining about that... I'm sorry for taking this so far. But you are trying to ensue a big problem. And you are making females sound like whiny babies who takes things personally. Which we all aren't. There are BIGGER issues with this game that really needs to be focused on...weapon balance, vault space, lack of content and recycled enemies...not to mention Bungie needs to take their heads out of their butts and start showing love to their community. These are game problems...your problems are personal.

Regarding the voice (this is the best format ever): why would female Fallen have to sound "feminine"? And that "femininity" is arbitrarily defined by [i]us[/i], so why should everything have to sound like us? Can you tell a female dog's bark from a males? Probably not.
