Bladedancers suck unless you are one bladedancing.
Nothing worse than having an unstoppable bladedancer chasing you for 30 seconds. I think a bladedancer will be evened out in crucible if each swipe slows them just a little bit so they can't chase people non stop for their whole cycle.

I am guessing you have not played a bladedancer much in Crucible. A bladedancer shines for its mobility and ability to rack up kills across a wide area... ...provided nobody has a panic super waiting... ...and nobody is lagging (does that even happen anymore? no lag?), because it will take 2-3 hits per kill, if they register at all... ...and nobody is grouped together to train multiple guns (most with super low TTKs) on the bladedancer... ...or has a high powered shotgun with a follow-up melee... ...or has a machine gun or rocket launcher... ...and provided the other team doesn't scatter, fleeing with blink and/or high agility... ...the targeting doesn't glitch on a target above or below you, forcing you to swipe in a triangle to land one kill... I have gotten a Reaper medal once in the course of quite a lot of Crucible time, on a team that was lined up absolutely perfectly on Twilight Gap, with the last kill coming as a pair of generic melee attacks rather than my super. I had Hungering Blade and half of their team seemed to freeze between whether to run or to shoot back. Slayer medals a handful of times. I've seen warlocks/titans/gunslingers with combustion get slayer medals, even a reaper medal, on groups clustered on heavy ammo. Attacking a full team on heavy ammo would be suicide for me. If I see an opponent pop blade dancer, I assess my distance and decide whether to steel myself with my shotgun or run. Even if I get killed, my teammates can usually finish off the blade dancer. If they chase me, and I am the only kill they get, I consider that a win. Many times I've worn it out and beat them in a gunfight as they're still reorienting. If you make blade dancers slower, the super might well become unusable. There might be other alternatives. I've heard people suggest that it should run out on your third kill, and I'd be fine with that. You could still get group kills if you use one of the AoE talent perks, but you couldn't single target your way to large streaks.

1 ReplyI feel like a lot of people who talk about supers are on the short end of the game. Yes, arc blade is powerful. All 3 classes get something like arc blade soon. But, you don't know how many times I've been hit by a nova bomb or FoH, just on me, with nobody else around me. All the supers are OP in some way during some time. It's just that arc blade is very effective or almost worthless, there isn't really a happy medium.

I think it's easy to kill everyone you just have to figure out how to kill each individual . And adjust your perks as well depending on how the match is going along I will change my gear and perks depending on who's out on the fried. But straight head shots with a hand canon and switch to shotgun before blade gets to cold and Pow ! Should be it but don't miss. I find Titans some of the harder ones especially when it comes toe to toe with supers that Titan smash gets me all the time lol no but just step up your skill. Learn how to use all characters and learn how you get killed and do the same

Like everybody else is saying, with the kill times on weapons being so crazy short anymore bladedancers just aren't that hard to kill. Just stick a grenade to one while he's closing the distance and shotgun him once he gets to you and he'll probably be dead. The only reason some blade dancers get so many kills is because people panic and try to run instead of just facing them down as a team and murdering them. Also, fist of havoc or nova bomb shut down a bladedancer every time.

It's the easiest super to avoid. Just dont run. Kill them :)
