What is the point of exclusives if we can't switch consoles-?
Seriously? Who tf thought up of that idea? If I can't switch characters from XB1 to PS4, then there shouldn't be any exclusives because it's basically pointless punishment.
Edit: to all you fu[i]ck[/i]faces who think I'm talking about bringing over the PS exclusives to Xbox, you're wrong. I'm talking about giving the option to switch characters from Xbox to Play Station. Read before you comment.

At no point in the game we created a Bungie/Destiny account, hell, even on this website we log in using either Xbox or PS accounts! If we had created a Bungie account to play the game, I am sure this would have been possible - though I am glad it didn't... starting to hate having to create a new account for every game I play these days. GTA V allows it because they require a Rockstar account - otherwise it would be just like Destiny, but with a lot of free stuff.

Would make more sense if the accounts were console bound. But they're not. Your character is in the Bungie cloud. It shoud be possible to so so. However I can see how the Vault would be a problem. Say you have the Hawkmoon in the vault on ps4, you'll have an empty spot on xbone which you then fill up with aone other weapon, which in turn wil disappear on the ps4.

If I could use the same destiny account on both consoles and play with my Xbox One friends and then jump to my PS4 to play with my PS4 friends, then I definitely would have already double dipped in this game and bought the Xbox One version. But whatever...maybe it's the pathetically stupid exclusive crap. Or maybe it's some kind of legal reason. Idk, whatever it is, it sucks

2 RepliesSome people are not realizing our items are under the bungie servers. They can make rules on the API where exclusives can't cross over. Hell I wouldn't mind going from ps4 to xb1 to help fellow guardians on a raid.

Exclusives are designed to drive console purchases for people who are trying to decide between which new console to buy. They are not designed to get you to switch consoles. Exclusives are a marketing tool, not a reward. If you are switching consoles just to access a few exclusives, then you probably deserve to be punished.

That's... Actually a valid point. Sony should actually want people to do this, like how Sprint will pay off your phone contract fees if you switch to them and sign a new contract (in the U.S. At least).

Exclusives used to be okay when developers actually put work into them. Now they're just: "Oooh look my shiny new exclusive game with amazing graphics and poor gameplay mechanics!"

The only thing I would buy PS4 for is console only exclusives not a gun and a few pieces of ugly armor and a strike in a multi-platformed game. Honestly I don't know how much money it really generates Sony and if it is the reason for other consumers to buy a PS4. Seems very stupid to me. And really how many people would do it for round 2? The game has been out for a year. I think a 2nd year of exclusives is a bit extreme and unnecessary.
