Your favorite sniper and why you think it's the best
I personally noticed the lack of snipers used in PvP unless they are final round sniper or ice breaker or some other fast shooting sniper
My personal favorite is my trusty LDR with ambush, double down, perfect balance, and firefly and just trailing behind is my efridite spear which does NOT have final round because I have skill unlike
those who do use final round it instead has double down, field scout and firefly

Well overall, my favourite will probably always be praedyth's revenge, since it has field scout and is very satisfying to see 3 people's heads blow up, one after the other.

My Epitaph, its not particularly enticing, its perks are average at best (Although another bullet in the clip sure comes in handy when 3 hits isn't quite enough), and it's still at 300 attack. But it was my first legendary sniper rifle and I think it fits my play style rather nicely. Once I hit IB rank 3 and buy some etheric light I'll be able to see it truly shine.

My Longbow is my favorite sniper for Void burn and its one of those few snipers with high impact.

3 RepliesThere seems to be a lot of people that use ambush scope. It's a decent scope for some maps - but - most maps are small in the Crucible. Shortgaze SLH10 is the way to go. I was turned on to it a few months back & it is the only one I will use now. After the feed in a match starts to fill up with my name with a sniper symbol next to it, I get asked with wonderment, "what sniper are you using?" I simply say, "it's not the sniper, it's Shortgaze." Most of the time my teammates have never recognized its existence. By the time they get around to playing a few matches with their new found knowledge, they are sold. It's a different beast, so you need to know how to wield it. Best way I can describe it in words- swipe to the head and trust the aim assist to do the rest. Before you even line it up, know that it's already there and pull the trigger. I typically use either my: 1. LDR1 with Shortgaze | Rodeo | Perfect Balance | Mulligan (Rodeo & Mulligan are okay, but it's mainly the base stats of the LDR1, Shortgaze, and Perfect Balance that make this one of my favorite weapons to use). 2. Efrideet's Spear with Shortgaze | Double Down | Field Scout / Perfect Balance | Clown Cartridge (This is my favorite all-in-one sniper. With Field Scout, it lands me 24 at the start of a match. Then I switch to Perfect balance for the rest of the match or my LDR1 between respawns. With Perfect Balance on, Clown Cartridge allots me an occasional 4 in the clip upon reload. With Field Scout, it allots me 8 in the clip, which is excellent for PvE). If you're into Final Round, I have the exact same setup as the Efrideet's Spear above, but with Spray & Play and Final Round, a good cheapster weapon to shoot-off two and reload quick for Trails of Osiris action (don't be that guy; if you do it, I'll be forced to do it and I don't want to be that guy either). My favorite roll that I don't have but pray to RNGesus for is... Longbow Synthesis with Shortgaze / Ambush | Double Down or Rodeo | HC Rounds / Field Scout / Perfect Balance | Clown Cartridge or Final Round If you ever get this roll or anything close to it, hold on to it for dear life. Best Stability sniper within the High Impact class of snipers. LDR1 is a close second with 4 in the clip and a 52 stability rating vs. the Longbow's 56. Given the smaller clip, the LDR1 is the better option for Final Round.

Why waste 5 shots? This gun is super smooth and outclasses guns like LDR (I have one for comparison) any day of the week Edit: equipped on my Titan if you want to see it

1 ReplyI love my Longbow Synthesis. Spray and play, plus Firefly so head shots look cool. I don't know what it is about this sniper but it just feel natural to use
