I've spoke of this topic long ago, but back then was a different place. This post brings to consideration the removal of the vehicle sparrows in Destiny for multiple reasons. Destiny is a beautiful game and I believe that you should not be able to just fly past all of the nature. I sincerely think that eliminating sparrows would lead to a better game. Destiny is already broken, we all know this. Sparrows make it so much worse. You should not be able to have a moving vehicle that is practically indestructible and can kill multiple people in a short time. This is absolutely outrageous. Not only can you just rack up kills, you can also glitch through walls and run through nightfalls. Come on Bungie, what are you doing. Finally I bring to your attention the simple fact that people argue and ask too much with sparrows. I have the best looking sparrow and every time someone gets jealous they argue and cry about it. I just want to play Destiny, no questions asked and the game gets ruined because of the people who complain and ask questions. Finally I find that sparrows in general are just plain ugly. This kind of goes back to my first statement but they take away from the gameplay. I've been playing with people that are on sparrows and my friends walk by IRL and tell me they won't buy the game because of them.
Thank you all for your support and together we can change Destiny for the better.

Edited by Shadow: 8/15/2015 2:51:27 PMWhat is there to look at anyway? Most of the paths are blocked off by invisible walls or linear paths. There is no interactive environments to interact with. I'm happy to skip past all the wasted space. What would be better is if I could teleport closer to the mission area so I wasn't reminded of how how dull and boring the environments are.

4 RepliesIf they were to eliminate sparrows then they would need to allow us to choose where we spawn in patrol.

3 RepliesWhile I understand what you are asking, but no.. just no. A lot people, myself included, will be just the opposite in that not having the means to travel across the maps quickly would be a deal-breaker. Can you imagine doing patrol on Mars and the patrol bounty has you going from Scablands to to the Buried City or to Valley of the Kings. Or you're running the Winter's Run strike on Venus Or you're hunting down the Silent Fangs in the Grottos Or you're running the Sword of Crota story mission. There is a reason why open world type games have options to quickly traverse across the maps.. If you feel that using a Sparrow breaks the immersion, then by all means you're free to get from Point A to Point B on foot. I offer you a challenge. Go to Mars on patrol and visit every area by foot and see how long it takes you, or load up the Cerberus Vae II strike and see how long it takes you to get from the Trenchworks to the Valley of the Kings after beating the land tank. I'm using Mars as an example since it probably is the worse when it comes to having too much open space in between areas.. I'm pretty sure that once you've completed either challenge, you'll rethink your proposition. Also - with the Taken King, we'll be relying less on our Sparrows since we'll be spending a good deal of time on the Dreadnought. TL;DR: Hell NO!

Your friends won't buy destiny because of sparrows??
-
Nah. Destiny worlds have nothing great in them. No point in making me look at them longer.
-
Only if there is actual lore in the environment. Right now that doesn't exist
-
No -blam!-

Good lord no

Argh. Use paragraphs. many words. Brain hurts.

No. If i had to run all over planets when gathering materials or doing bounties it would have taken even longer. When i want to enjoy the scenery i can walk by choice. I do think riding a sparrow into buildings is ridiculous. It doesnt save time and once a randomly matched team member killed me on a strike where i had the complete a strike without dying. He ran into me in the hall before we even saw an enemy. So if you ride inside at least be considerate.

More cut content? No, thank you.

Sparrows being removed would make patrol awful. I'd never play it again
-
6 RepliesNo. In fact, I'd say the opposite: we need MORE vehicle types. There were way more in Halo: Reach than they are in Destiny. So far, all we have is the Ghost and Brute Chopper (Sparrow/Pike and Interceptor)

Thank you all for your support and together we can change Destiny for the better.
If you are being dead serious. Then explain the hate. Your making Destiny into a Childish game

So basically you'd rather have to walk all the way to skywatch rather than drive? Cause form my pov, that's what you're saying
-
If you are against sparrows, just do not use them. I would rather have more vehicle types or mounts. That would be awesome
