What does Celestial Nighthawk work best against?
I got it from a nightfall today. Poor bastard I played with got the Sawtooth Oscillator. My heart goes out to him, truly. But anyway.
What can it instakill? What is it really effective against?
I know it can obliterate Ir Yut and hallowed ogres. Are there any majors it can't kill in one shot (i.e. level 35 captains)? Can it one-shot the Psion Flayers?
Help me out here. I'd like to know.
This helmet might actually make me play my hunter for a change.

No. It took one of the critical target praetorians down to half health. It's really best for just shooting bosses. Especially in raids, where you get your super faster. Which it gave gunfighter or combustion.

One shots crotas shield, and hits really high on solar burns.

this weeks nightfall, I shot phogoth with it and it did 35,000 dmg. Go solar burn!

Can anyone test next time there's a nightfall with solar burn of a 3 group with nighthawk and see how fast you can kill the boss

Finally got the perk. Not as great against bosses as I had hoped.

It one shot kills any major or ultra enemies. Not bosses obviously. Before I had it I thought it was a stupid but good looking only helmet, but after I personally have tried it out, I fell in love with that damn helmet. I just love one shot big major enemies...

1 ReplyMost tier 2 (major or ultra) enemies can be one shot. Also normal crota shield can be completely taken down as long as you are a 34

It's realy useful if you have to take down Majors or Ultras quickly, for example, in Ir Yût, you can one shot the Knights and supposedly you can kill Ir Yût with one shot of it, IF you're right next to her. Yes, it's really powerful, makes you look like an idiot if you miss the shot, but yeah.. Imagine if there was an upgrade for Golden Gun that would give you another shot and you could fire it twice... It'd destroy everything
