NO ONE UNDERSTANDS THE SIZE OF THE TAKEN KING
Remeber the dark below. The original file size was around 2 gigs. Most of it Crotas End. Than the HoW files around 6 gigs. So the season pass for $40 bought a estimated 8 gigs of content. The Taken King is bigger than both previously released dlc's. Almost 19 gigs, not 8. Double and then some for $40. And no one thinks about that. You were charged for 8 gigs of content for $40 but complain what will most likely end of a full 20 gigs for $40. That's foolish and crazy. No one should feel ripped off for The Taken King but the previous content.

5 Repliesbigger landscape???, bigger cutscenes? .. same content, same rehashed enemies that glow and smoke coming out there asses wich takes more memory? how can you even try to distinguish a dlc with gigs? lmao your retarded. heres an example , i have 2 of the same exact movies, one of them is at 720p hd at 2.6gigs and one at 1080p hd at 7.5gigs. now do i get something more with my 1080p version because its bigger? f'uck no its the same shit son. same god damn thing. you watch , this new content is gonna take a few days to do, everyone will pay 40$ and thatll be that.

It doesnt matter how big the dlc is. The last two were big but didnt last after 2-4 weeks. And once the next dlc comes out, the previous becomes irrelevant.

You really can't go by the size that way. I can make a file of nothing and 0 bytes , and I can make a file of nothing for a Meg. The size doesn't matter. Besides, I have not heard anything official giving any real clues that it is going to be any better, and only hints of bigger (more content) and I have heard stuff before where they have laid on the marketing hype and not provided what was implied. The only "real" grips I have heard about the price, of the TTK, was when compared to the cost other editions, along with what others were getting for the price, and when sold to foreign countries. The only real gripe about cost was the cost for the small extra motes and armor for $20. While some people did gripe over the price, people also gripe when gas goes up 10 cents, and I don't call those "real" gripes. lol

So what you are saying is we should be more grateful now that we have gotten a larger Dlc? We should have gotten initially 19x19x19 worth of content/gigs......Instead we got a 2 and a 6? Yea thanks for making this post....Basically we are in debt for what we paid for thanks for sharing :)

1 ReplyRemember most of that will be weapons and armor since we can't ascend anything. Its also phobos and the hive dreadnaught confirmed thusfar. Everything else... well, I'm not holding my breath. Most likely the content will last me 2 weeks instead of a couple days. Even then... is it worth 40$ when I can buy a new game for an additional 20 fresh off the press and get a month or more of enjoyment out of it? TTK needs to be competitive with the games coming out this fall or else people will stop playing. I know I usually lose interest in CoD after DLC 3. To keep this game going for another year they're going to need more than the vanilla game for 40 dollars. The vanilla game only kept me busy for a month. And that was for 3 characters.

I hope we don't have to finish all 12 (arbitrary number) in order to raid. multiply that by all three characters and I feel anger towards the mandate. I'd be so much happier if they released 7 new strikes and a raid. not 12 missions, 2 strikes and a raid. at least the ROC playlists would have some variance. [i]nobody fukks with missions[/i]. edit: if you're interested in the story don't worry, you'll remember every bit the 36th one.

4 RepliesSo tired of people hopping on the anti bungie bandwagon.. It's a company, put yourself in their shoes. Plus paying $20 for each dlc was well worth it. We got to play the game much earlier than the new players. I don't care if I payed $40 more bucks than they are, I've been playing the game for a year more than them.

Cinematics take up more space and we pay a premium on dlc to forego microtransactions (until now) so no none of the dlc is worth it's advertised price. I'm am more convinced it will be more worth it than either dlc or vanilla was though

Bungie promised us a raid for the second dlc. So unless bungie releases two raids plus way more then 8 missions and atleast 3 new strikes and not running through a mission backwards, we all know thats just lazy.

You also didn't think that most of the first 2 DLCs were old maps, just going backwards. No need for massive amounts of new data. This might have more data, but only because they can't keep reusing the same maps. I don't think you thought your argument through very well.
