The taken king outrage.
3 new supers, a new strike, a new raid and yet a £40/$40 price tag.
Plus one of the missions is behind a can of redbull and two strikes are exclusive to PS and came out a year ago which we only get now on the xbox. Despite the game having very little content at launch.
For a game so lacking in content how do bungie justify the price tag? For £40 I would expect atleast 15 story missions, atleast 3 new strikes and atleast 2 raids. Plus an assortment of new features and some longevity. It's no joke to say this game is half arsed.
500 million dollars and yet it's barely got any depth of back story. It's plot is convaluted and shallow at the best of times.
Bungie you aren't the same anymore. It isn't us it's you.
Any respect I once had for this wonderful company is dead and gone.
To you the fan boys. You ruined this industry. Not companies like Activision. If people like you didn't just throw your cash at things and stood your ground we wouldn't get games like destiny. Half baked cash farms. Or broken games at launch because they wouldn't get away with it. But because you lie their and take this of off them they do. They are laughing at you and you are their defending then and it makes me cry for an industry i used to love.

2 Replieseveryone saying "devaluation" is an idiot. Destiny right now is $33 on amazon, and last time I was at best buy it was still $60. Also if they are valuing TTK at $40 and the digital content at $20, that means the people who buy the collector's edition are getting the base game + DB and HoW for $20. Has the price of the season pass on decreased? as far as I know, it's still $35. Their math doesn't work, and anyone defending it needs their brains checked. I bet when I turn on my ps4 in september, the digital version of destiny will be around $30, and the season pass still $35.

Well Bungie started off very small when Destiny was being developed, they also had to re-write the story that some what exist. Well in the Grimoire. Bungie as a company is starting to grow again, most of the company had split due to Microsoft wanting the continue Halo which caused some of the staff split to go work at 343.

The dlc comes with: •around 15 story missions •new cinematic cutscenes •3 new supers •new multiplayer gamemodes •a new raid •new location •2 or 3 new strikes •New enemies( rehashed but still ehh) •New weapons and armor There's probably more but I forgot. Still idk if I'd pay $40.

Honestly I'm buying it for the sub classes the other stuff is bonus. I probably wouldn't have gotten the expansion of it weren't for the sub classes. It's really up to you... If you like it buy it, if not shut up and let me spend "my" money the way I want. If the game is really that bad the people(gamers) will leave it.

1 ReplyI'm in. But don't count my opinion; I'm only 54 and have played (and owned) a large number of games and almost all systems since the original arcade PONG. Untold thousands of hours playing and loving video games. Destiny has been, is and will be one of the very best for me. I'm ALL in.

If you look at like prelaunch destiny trailers and stuff you can see older people working one destiny, but now its just ran by gay ass hipsters

Well, they've done a whole new batch of (skippable) cutscenes for the new campaign story (with an admittedly unknown number of missions). The number of new Strikes is also unknown, but judging from their comments, I'm expecting at least two + one PS exclusive + the Taken modified Strikes). The Redbull mission will be available to all players (even without The Taken King) in January. There is also a new Patrol destination with, if they are to be believed, secret areas and hidden chests and crap. I hope it isn't just planetary mats in those, but eh. The Raid is supposed to be even bigger and better than the Vault of Glass. It's worth $40 to me, I'll probably sink another couple of hundred hours into it. But really, Guardians not in the USA are getting screwed, paying as much for this as they are for a full new game.

One thing people have to remember is with TTK, bungie is also promoting certain changes as if it's part of the dlc when in fact everyone gets it (example: increased vault space was given to everyone, not just those who got house of wolves) So keep a close eye on what they say, don't cave into the hype. We've been lied to and led around, repeatedly, not just once before.

1 ReplyI don't understand why people feel the need to argue with and defend Destiny in these posts. That is the reason these kinds of threads clutter the forums. If it were just the OP and all the people that agree (that are for some reason still hanging around on the forums for a game they hate so much) bumping these threads and milking each others self aggrandizing opinions (that they believe to be fact), these threads would die out fast. There's so much more entertaining ways to use the forums. If these people get a kick out of belittling others opinions and holding theirs above all else, the best thing you can do is ignore them. They feed off of your justifications that you have no reason to have to provide them with in the first place.
