$20 for 3 Emotes, Shaders, and Class items
Someone please tell me I read the weekly update incorrectly. Please tell me that Activision/ Bungie are not charging an additional $20 just for 3 emotes, 3 shaders, and 3 class items.
That's insane.
Did I read it wrong?
Edit: please feel free to disagree with me. Personally $20 is too much for cosmetic items in my opinion. Others will not share that opinion. That's okay. I was thinking it would equate to $5. But I guess I am just cheap.
Edit 2: there are some really angry people on this forum. Well, we can disagree. I stand by my opinion and the value of money compared to the lack of content/value for $20. I'm not going to bother reading any more. Have a good night and please don't spend too much time arguing.

...if they truly care about their customers, they could've given out those for free to everyone who'e played since 2014 (for example), selling a SHADER, EMBLEM and an EMOTE (x3) for $20 is downright robbery and nothing but pure greed

Lesser things are purchased in the Gem store on Guild Wars 2 on a regular basis by many players. I think I've spent close to $500 on gold, vanity items and gems just because... At least you can get the expansion by itself now.

1 ReplyYeah, definitely not worth $20, but they know that people will blindly buy up everything they throw at us so they continue to exploit that, ttk and the CE content cost almost as much as a full game, I'm going to take that money and actually buy another game, just don't see ttk being worth it.

This is much better and less insane than spending $80 for the collector's edition when you already have both the expansions and the base game. Plus, when you break it apart, the legendary edition is $60 for the base game, the first 2 expansions, and the Taken King. The Collector's edition is $80 for all of that plus those cosmetic items--that is, if you purchase the digital version. In other words, technically, those cosmetics are of a $20 value.
