Someone please tell me I read the weekly update incorrectly. Please tell me that Activision/ Bungie are not charging an additional $20 just for 3 emotes, 3 shaders, and 3 class items.
That's insane.
Did I read it wrong?
Edit: please feel free to disagree with me. Personally $20 is too much for cosmetic items in my opinion. Others will not share that opinion. That's okay. I was thinking it would equate to $5. But I guess I am just cheap.
Edit 2: there are some really angry people on this forum. Well, we can disagree. I stand by my opinion and the value of money compared to the lack of content/value for $20. I'm not going to bother reading any more. Have a good night and please don't spend too much time arguing.
Remember it's just a game...

You are wrong,I added up said items in my head and they are worth exactly 21.76. Way to make yourself look dumb
-
Or £31 if you're in UK. Assuming they still can't work out anything 'foreign.'
-
Maybe $10. What I hope is that for us folks in Europe and UK that they don't charge £20 for the cosmetic items. That's over $30.
-
I want this dlc for free my reasoning? I bought the original limited edition the cost of that? £80 it was also $80 in the US. Now in the UK £80 = $125.98 That's an additional $45.98. So by my reasoning I've already paid for it.
The funny thing about this I looked at the price for TTK the day after announcement on the xbox one store it was priced at £27.99 look two days later £40 £40=$63.30 Let's do some pricing here that is fair for example Fallout 4 Standard edition £42.00 $59.99 Pip-Boy Edition £100 $120 Hmmmm GG Bethesda And I looks like Shaftavision and their pegboys Bungie will continue to shaft us and will most likely charge us £20 for this collectors edition upgrade.

Personally 20 bucks is not a deal breaker for me as I spend money on shit I don't need all the time. Spent more on booze last Friday than I did in total on Destiny. I had fun on Friday and paid for it on Saturday. One night of entertainment vs 1 year on Destiny. Destiny is by far a better value for the money. I took me 2 months to come to the realization that superblack was not obtainable so for that alone I am willing to drop a 20. I might try to not have two extras screwdrivers on a Friday to offset the cost. Nah I like my vodka too much for that.
-
You'll pay it, after all Pukey said we will throw money at our screens and Pukey is always right
-
Anybody know if these work outside US & Canuckada?
-
Haha, $20 is fair!
-
1 Replybecause its A COLLECTOR"S EDITION. for COLLECTOR"S items. thats the context of these items. its not meant for the average player, its meant for the die hard fans who want every little bit of content. i personally couldn't give a -blam!- about a emote, a less than the best shader, and a class item that doesn't even help that much. thats what you are complaining about. a bunch of worthless items, only meant for collectors. the price for each individual item is around 2$, below average when compared tho other companies cosmetic costs.
-
You don't have to buy it.
-
They aren't CHARGING anything. You don't HAVE to buy it. It's like the collectors edition, only for people who WANT to spend more money
-
2 RepliesI agree with you. Gearbox release similar dlc packs for BL2 that contained shaders and heads and those were $5. I feel these are comparable content releases with very different price tags. But some people will buy it anyway. Some the price won't be dropped. So looks like I'll be sporting my vet package!

2 RepliesI think it's one of those love/hate situations I really like cosmetic stuff in games and like to look different so any extra cosmetic thing I'm in! However I can see where other people are coming from that for a casual gamer it seam a high price especially here in the UK where u can bet it will be £20

These are just off the top of my head, I didn't grow up with Playstation so if anyone has others they would like to add, Just post below. Thoughts on price for TTK being able to purchase the Deluxe/Collectors edition content for $20?

1 ReplyI don't usually reply in this forum, but I felt compelled to do so after reading the weekly update. I personally think this is BS! These items are not worth more hen $10 they are charging the price of the regular expansion for just a few items. What worries me is that bungie is charging this amount of money for almost no content. It makes me wonder how much content the $40 will have. I've been a player since day 1 and this is an insult.
-
this is quickly becoming a joke, to put it in perspective bungie expect us to pay the same price for some class items as either of the previous dlc's!!!!! I really can't understand how any of you fools can defend this. And to those referencing the cost blacksmith sells for, well any one that paid 60 for one needs their head testing.
-
You think that's crazy? Here's the really crazy part...
People are actually happy with it!!!!
-
24 RepliesHey, you know what *I* do when something is priced more than I personally value it? I don't buy it. You, on the other hand, seem to post a whiny little child thing about it on the internet. Good luck with that.
-
2 RepliesDon't buy it if you don't want them. If you want them bad enough then buy them.
-
1 ReplyYou read it right. If they value 9 DLC items at $20, can you imagine the lack of content your getting for $40 for TTK? Everyone should be careful. This isn't just about what they are offering you now, this is about setting a president for DLC for the future, for ten years, if the game will last that long.
-
1 Replyso not only are they pushing garbage dlc every few months, but they're also introducing micro transactions? wtf what's next, a new raid sponsored by cialis! (shows an abandoned fireteam character dying, allies screaming at them to keep shooting, then flashing to an empty desk chair). cialis. ask your doctor.
-
Its worth bearing in mind that Sony/MS take quite a hefty percentage of anything sold on their stores.
-
While its not a question about who can afford this or not. its the fact that bungie have the nerve to charge people £20 for such crap. Crap that should have been in the game in the first instance!
-
3 RepliesWhen you break it down, each item is a little over $2 each. An easy solution would be to offer each item at that price, it's still $20; but we won't be paying it all at once, and we can pick and choose what we want. (yes, I realize this is the dreaded "m" word)
-
6 RepliesThey were gonna -blam!- us without a second thought until their cheif asshat blew it for them. They had every intention on -blam!-ing us fellows!! Wake up!!!!
