Every major release was allegedly the Destiny Killer. CoD. Evolve. DA:I. Witcher 3. Etc...
And still it lived on. People logged in, played for hours a day, no matter the fact they were deliberately playing on of the lowest rated AAA titles on the market at the time. It looked like nothing could stop Destiny... but then TTK happened.
40 dollars.
40 dollars for an expansion.
40 dollars for an expansion that requires previous content totalling nearly 90 dollars. Anyone who bought Destiny at or near launch with the DLC has paid at least that much. After buying TTK, your bill is at least 130 dollars. If you've never played it before? You can get all of that, assuming you've never purchased a Destiny product thus far, for 60 dollars. Less than half the initial cost. But what has caused the first three releases to be so steeply devalued? What is changed? A few random special enemies that only occur every one in a while. That's it. That's what's missing. That justifies the 70 dollars price gap, right? Oh, but not to mention you can REBUY all of that content if you want to get the collectors edition. YEAH! It comes with new ANIMATIONS! Oh boy!
GG, Bungie. You're the real Destiny Killers.

11 RepliesYeah how dare they want to be compensated for the millions invested into developing everything, so we can enjoy their product! Damn you Bungie!!!!! They're a business man. They do the real hard work. All you have to do is waste away enjoying it for a few measly dollars. Really isn't that bad considering:).
