Dock-13 is a level 2 area which is needed to cross over from The Steppes to The Divide.
The queenbreaker captain is a level 30 major. She is very aggressive and has a large melee range (she is a sword wielding captain).
She spawns closer to the exit of Dock 13 then you do. She sneaks up on you from the right side.
She can easily kill a 34 who isnt expecting her without a shot gun or heavy.
Now, problem is every character that is less then level 27 wont be able to damage her. She'll 1-shot melee them for sure though.
She is impossible to dodge if you run through the middle. Also allot of people tend to stay there and shoot the LEVEL 2 enemies, but that's gonna be impossible for you if you're not level 27 or over.
Now why am I saying this? Because I was using a warlock I had just created, and I had a super hard time crossing dock-13 without getting killed (you respawn at the entrance). Jumping over her might work sometimes but she'll usually catch up to you when you lands, since she FOLLOWS YOU OUT OF DOCK-13.
So please sign so people under level 27 wont be having there 100 KILLS WITHOUT DYING OR 9000 XP WITHOUT DYING OR ANY OTHER STUPID BOUNTIES WITHOUT DYING RUINED BY THIS OP CAPTAIN.
Thank you. Please get Deej to post!
Resurrectionist just pointed a very good point:
I don't understand how bungie messed up this bad with the random dudes spawning in patrol now. They had the formula right with the blades of crota; if you're going to spawn special enemies in an area were low-level players need to go to do stuff, make the enemy there level appropriate to that area. This is what they did with the blades of crota and it worked excellently. It's like bungie completely forgot that there are people who haven't hit level 20 yet.
EDIT: For everyone saying sparrow across: the game doesnt want you too, thats why there are higher floors so your sparrow cant go across, unless you cheese, which noobs dont...
EDIT: The area isn't public, so you're on your own guardian.
EDIT: Why it should be removed:
- The game doesn't allow you to sparrow through unless you cheese.
- The area is private so no one can help.
- The detour takes 10 minutes and has heart and hand of crota in between.
- Low levels who usually kill enemies in the area are now rushed to get passed it
- You pretty much NEED to pass through there to get to the divide since its the crossover.
Bungie jusy went stupid and stopped caring about its new customers.
EDIT: I am not doing this petition for myself, but for all the new players and low levels who are having a hard time. Putting a major level 30 captain there is just stupid. You're not suppose to be avoiding this area when some missions have you go in/through it
A similar thread made by low-levels was done a while ago, proving my point https://www.bungie.net/ko/Forum/Post/123192253/0/0

Wow man. This is the dumbest post I've seen in forums to this day. Bravo. You win. That's enough interwebz for the day.

I've leveled 2 char, running back and forth through there, never been bothered by that char at all.

Edited by CrazyCadder: 6/29/2015 12:09:57 PMI've seen plenty of low levels in the divide. Obviously, running past her isn't that difficult. Using a sparrow to get through is not cheese. There's no special trick to do it. Bungie even gave you an alternate path, to get around the ditch in the floor. If you really must visit the divide, don't whine because you refuse to use a tactic that works.

Think of it as a Rocky Balboa thing. Let the captain beat you down and get ya good and pissed off. Listen to Hearts on Fire while you grind to the appropriate level. Afterwards, go back and give him a few shotgun blasts to the face. Be sure to have Eye of the Tiger playing when you return for your revenge. Profit.

I've never thought of this, but it does seem extremely frustrating for people leveling up. I kinda liked finding that Queenbreaker there, it almost gave me a heart attack but I loved it because I do a lot of patrol, and it's nice seeing new things. But yeah, I can't imagine what it's like getting through there with a lower level character. They could limit her movements so she doesn't follow, or even make it so that she doesn't attack unless you attack. Hell, Randall isn't nearly as agressive as that Queenbreaker. And he's a pain in the ass (sometimes)

Ride your sparrow through or run to the opposite side...

Grow a pair. My 6 year old beats that enemy.

I agree. It was a surprise to see a melee captain there for HOW. You pretty much couldn't make it through without dying a few times. Finally I found out where it spawns so I could just shotgun it, but I can see noobs having way more problems with this area. Another thing that I can see problems with is doing patrol missions and having your head blasted off by an enemy that has question marks and YOU CAN'T KILL when your lvl25 and lower. When I made my new hunter, I easily got one shot by these when I was trying to do patrol or the kill/exp bounty without dying. They need to make it like the swords where the enemies are tough, but easier to kill for the new players.

Edited by SweetZombieJesus: 6/29/2015 1:16:31 PMShe's only there on patrol. If you are playing the early levels she disappears etc. You can literally run right past her without a single hit with any level character. No sparrow needed. I mention her only being there on patrol, because if she was there during missions, I'd see the issue. Other than that, learn to out manoeuvre the enemies there. I haven't stopped to kill the fallen there in 6 months outside of the Queen breaker bounty. I started a new character pre-HoW and ran that area with a level 5 titan, just ran past her... Come down the stairs, turn right, full speed, doesn't have a chance to nail you.
-
There is a way to survive going through there. You just run. Since you know where he spawns, don't stop and gawk at the captain, just run straight through. He will follow you into the next room, but that's it. Just make it passed the next little room and you're fine. I did it with my titan I made over the weekend. A lot. The only time I died was when I taunted him. And can you explain how riding your sparrow through that building is cheesing?
-
I never died in that area, I'm raiding my sparrow from the spawning area till the Divide or other place where I have bounties to do. I didn't realise that that captain may be such a pain in the ass for somebody...
-
I made it across.

2 RepliesHow is riding a sparrow through this room, or any other space in the game, cheesing?
-
Edited by Art: 6/29/2015 1:01:10 PMI watched my friends kid run through there with a lvl 16 hunter... Died the first time because he didn't know it was there. Didn't die the second time because he just ran through. Didn't look around, didn't try to work out where it was. Just ran. So it's definitely possible. Even without any additional agility or sprint speed perks. Wait until they're stood in the middle of skywatch doing bounties and they get a HoW event, warsat, urzok and the enemies are having their own little war...

1 ReplyHow can u possibly not be level 20 yet? Stop making new characters problem solved. The game is ancient now, nobody should be level 20. If you have come to the party this late then tough shit.
-
Its not that big of a deal, jump on top of a box.
-
I did the bounty on my 34, thinking it was in a bad spot for low levels as it would kill them. Made a new hunter, got killed two times trying to pass through that area as i forgot about that mob twice.
-
I do think it should be moved to a more secluded spot.
-
1 ReplyI see your point. It's very easy to sparrow thru the area though, you just need to cajole it over the broken floor in one room.
-
3 Replies"1 shot melee"? Didn't know you can shoot melee attacks....
-
2 RepliesHeres what I do to get through the dock. First I wait for my super to be ready and then head off to the dock. When I get their, I first go nvisble via crouch.....then I run in all hot and activate blink strike. At this point I should be about 25% through. This last part is tricky. Before loosing my 2nd invisable I activate my super, go invis a 3rd time and start sprinting through. Right before I lose my super, I crouch again, go invisible a 4th time, then blink strike and the remaining 40% of the run is just luck my man. Good luck guardians

Just punch on through on your sparrow
