Why are throwing knives not instant kills to the dome?
So I love my throwing knife but sometimes in PvP I throw it at their dome piece and they just won't die unless they have taken damage earlier.
Would this be too OP if it did? Any other hunters feel the same. Only reason I state this is even with the burn damage it's not always a 1 hit It might just leave a sliver of health if your lucky assuming you never did any damage before to them.
I should be able to get that kill guaranteed at least with a burning knife and not have to follow up. Lol I mean you would think hunters would have the instant kill melee oh well.... Btw when I say instant I mean just to know that the burn damage alone will always finish them.

I think they're trying to avoid a 1HK melee, especially one with so much range.

Because they are ranged and super easy to get head shots with.

2 RepliesThe problem is throwing knife head shots can return a throwing knife immediately which would make throwing knife to OP in my opinion if it was a one shot headshot

4 RepliesThrowing knife headshot should DEF be a OHK. Both the Titan & Warlock have a OHK melee attack. Hell the Warlock has basically a shotgun melee killin people from several feet away.

Hunter is my main character and I don't think it should be a one hit kill, would be a bit too OP as it's not hard to get hits with that thing with some practice.

11 RepliesAs a hunter... I prefer to keep it like this, cause it requires more skill than just going around throwing knifes with insta-kill... That would turn us into a titan, and I don't want to be a titan (and its funny to see people raging about being killed with a knife)

Probably something to do with the fact that you can instantly get one back and just keep throwing them. You will get someone who will just be able to spam infinite throwing knives because he never misses and that's just not fun to play against. Especially when throwing knives do have a lot of aim assist for headshots.

Yeah it used to be a one hit but they decreased the damage.

It is gonna be OP because than you got a range instant kill weapon and we already got a instant kill range weapon: last round snipers

5 RepliesIf shoulder charge can OHK [i]without[/i] precision damage, a Knife to the head should kill for sure. I find it odd that elbowing somebody in the arm does more damage than shooting some poor bastard in the heart with a sniper rifle or burying a knife between someone's eyes.

Well then throw a space knife that fallen captin use. Or insert strength increasing stuff in your armor so throwing knife actually punch through armor and skull
