Thieves Den Trials

As someone who has completely 10+ flawless runs, I can honestly say that Thieves Den is the worst map I've played in Destiny. Nothing but promoting blink and shotgunning. Have yet to play a game where gun fights were a staple. Just wish Bungie would have symmetrical maps for a game type like this. Pantheon has been my favorite. Just thought of this. Can you imagine how one sided Shores of Time is going to be? C spawn will have a huge advantage every round

  • So just found out that you'll be able to get The Taken King, Dark Below, and House of Wolves, plus the Destiny game for $79.99 dollars (Digital) plus other game swag, like a replica of a strange coin and a steel cover with pictures, and a bunch of other stuff... What is this #Bungie ? I paid $60, well actually almost $500, because I bought the white edition PS4 that came with Destiny, but let's just say it was $60 for the game, then I paid $35 for the the season pass that gave me the first two expansions, so $100 in total for the game and 2 expansions, and now you're releasing another Destiny game, with all the DLC for $79.99 (Digital)? The Taken King is $40, Dark Below is $20 and House of Wolves is $20 so that's $80 in just DLC, the game is $60, so $140 is what we since day 1 will have to pay, but if you buy this new Destiny game, not only do you get a great deal, because you save around 43% (Digital), but you also get exclusive Exotic Class Items (3 exotic class items) that give you extra XP, 3, not 1, but 3 shaders, and 3 class emotes, but we that have to pay for everything separate, we that have been with #Bungie since day 1, get screwed over this bad? And by that I mean, that all we get is one shader that probably is going to look horrible, since y'all didn't even bother with the House of Wolves Expansion shaders, one sparrow that is really nothing special at all, it's just for show like the ships, and one emblem that already looks bad, just for show. How's this fair at all? And that's not all, if you buy the physical copy, it is $59.99, which saves you a outrageous amount of 58%, but it does not come with the extra swag, again, how is this any fair at all?     • Either team could win on thieves den. I think it was harder to blink shotgun due to height of tunnels vs other maps. I came to enjoy the map and was lucky enough to go flawless twice because of good team mates and team work.

      • asylum & anomaly are gonna be just as bad. firebase delphi could also be that way. I'm interested to see strats to counter shores of time spawning on A side. that map will be a campers paradise

      • Thieve's den was a pretty solid map. I think outside spawn had a small advantage, but nothing as bad as widows court top spawn was. Each map is a different size with different sight lines. You either adapt to fit the map or you lose. Just because a map doesn't fit the playstyle you enjoy doesn't make it bad.

      • I loved that map. I snipe so it was fun seeing people attempt to shotgun me. Be aware of your surroundings and you won't get shotgunned.

      • The worst map by far in Trials. Promoted nothing but camping and is also very one sided. I still found a way to snipe though, as highlighted in my Trials montage, but I totally agree, blink shotgunning at its finest in Thieves Den.

          • I think the worst part was how many times you'd have to kill a team to actually win. It wasn't abnormal to have 7+ kills as a team in a round and lose because of how easy it was to revive. I would also like to see revive times go WAY UP if you are in a 1v3 situation. If it's 1v3 and you kill two opponents, they shouldn't simply be able to respawn immediately, with overshield, and come back to fight you after you've taken damage. If it gets to 1v3, respawn times should be like 15 seconds.

            • Yep. After the first two maps got a million complaints from the blinkers Destiny threw them two bones in a row, though cauldron was much easier. The map was also heavily tilted in favor of one of the spawns.

            • Bro same exact thing. I had gone undefeated 10 times in the prior weeks. This week I was not able to go undefeated with any of my characters.

            • Does anybody else seem to stumble across this same problem? That when you're on a trials run and you reach 5-6 wins so you buy the mercy, then at 7 you buy the double win. You leave the trials matchmaking to the reef, but when you re-enter always get match made with another team clearly pushing for a flawless and a much higher standard than the previous 5-7 games you have played? The team I play with is a decent standard and we don't struggle to get a fair amount of wins but this seems to happen far too often Is it just us, or is it a common thing?
