Not a crazy idea for us "casuals" that don't spend every evening or all day running Destiny in PVP. The shards and energy are fairly useless right now. The only reason for not selling etheric is so Bungie can keep the grind going. Most of us are ALREADY grinding night falls and raids for coins and motes, so the reasons for not selling or trading is moot. We'll play regardless, like we have since beta. It's the same "you bought it from Xur so you didn't earn it" blarney poked about on this forum every time Xur sells a good exotic.

Etheric light is easy to get scrub.

It would take away the grind. I would have had everything ily upgraded the first day I have so many exotic shards

You know the silver and gold tier packages from brother vance give E light. All one needs, using the boons, is 5 wins before 4 loses for the silver package.

Or you could just get your guaranteed etheric light by beating lvl 34 and 35 POE? Across 3 characters since DLC launched I've probably pulled close to 25 maybe even 30. Only one or two of them being dropped from nightfall.

No, play POE lvl34 and get it that way.

No point coz wen the dlc comes out they wont let u upgrade ur old weapons to the new damage stat

The is 0 reason to add any other ways to get ethirc light they are already so easy to come buy I have 7 365 weapons and another 9 ethiric lights just sitting in my vault because I don't have anything to use them on.

I'm already out of things to use etheric light on. This really isn't needed. Don't make etheric light easier to obtain than it already is, you'd just be taking away certain motivators from other parts of the game.

I agree with you 100%. I myself am able to farm at least 3-6 Etheric Light a week due to being fortunate with time and large clan and other things, but being a non-selfish non-moron, I recognize that isn't the case for everybody. Also I think making EL more accessible actually improves the game. The game is improved, IMO, by more people having fun playing it, not by a few people gloating about how awesome they are. To your point about breaking the economy, however, Destiny would only have an economy if goods could be exchanged between individuals in the market. They cannot, and so Destiny actually has neither a market nor an economy. Therefore the concept of devaluation is entirely subjective here. Personally, it neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg for players to have more EL and to come by it in a less frustrating, more fun manner. That doesn't devalue my beating Skolas or Atheon or Crota. Players can attain 365 weapons and armor on the 32 PoE, and have 365 weapons and armor even more easily by exotics, so it's not like having 365 is a gate on the content to people who "deserve" it by running PoE 34 and ToO until they're blue in the face, or got lucky in the nightfalls. If players are able to bring their weapons to the max level less frustratingly, what's it to you; how does that diminish you in any way? After all, up until this expansion, players being able to easily bring weapons up to 331 wasn't a problem for anybody; nobody was screaming about how only the deserving should be able to do that. Why does it have to be a thing now?

There is no way you've done 33 nightfalls. How hasn't been out for 11 weeks yet. It's been out for about 6. If you've done a nightfall on each character each week, you've only done about 18 nightfalls since the HoW dropped and you could get etheric light

Bump. Reaching max level and fully upgrading gear should not require playing the very few modes that have no matchmaking. I can't "play my way" like they originally said I could. I'd rather fully level and upgrade my gear by playing the game, not by trying to recruit outside the game. They ignore solo players and refuse to provide alternatives. If this isn't rectified with TTK, that will be the end of my Destiny "legend" because they continue to prevent me from becoming so.
