Mayhem was a smart move by Bungie
This is just a guess but the new mode mayhem(clash game type where supers are fully charged in 30 seconds) should attract the attention of all the players who love to use supers or for lack of better words rely on their super.
When those players move to mayhem then clash and possibly control will become less super dependent and focus more on gunplay.

7 RepliesGolden gun and radiance (self rez) will be way op for this. Arc blade shouldn't work well as there will always be a super waiting. Nova can be shot down by GG and panic has to be close. Bubble = target.

Except the good people that want gunplay will still use their supers strategically and you will never notice a difference except they may get more annoying because idiots won't be using them everywhere.

Hunter bow will be really cool. If you've seen videos if you get caught by the bow and you were in mid super, your super gets cancelled and you basically are handed a death sentence

It almost seems like a throwback to halo when you only played with rocket launchers, lots of death lots of chaos. I'm all for it

People say Titan bubbles will be useless but playing with a tank friend of mine recently he showed me something awesome. Destroying a bubble takes another super. So he baits supers with his shield and renders them superless. Peeps who rely on supers and not gun skill will fall for this every time ..

2 RepliesIn my opinion, that's why there aren't any custom games at the moment. I'm sure someone would have come up with a game type similar to this. Rift in the other hand seems fairly unique when it comes to charging the spark. I bet one of the next announcements will be about custom games.

Also for mayhem, I'm hoping it takes like two or three kills to charge your super, but the supers are all weaker, and you can still use grenades. I'd like it if Golden Gun one shots, but not on foes with Overshields. Arc Blade two hits normal foes Nova Bomb has a smaller radius and deals slightly less damage (not that it will really matter) Sunsinger lasts perhaps 70% as long Defender Bubble is 100% as durable and lasts 35% as long, only one available at a time. It doesn't need to last as long since the Guardian could already have another one up after getting a couple of kills, or maybe just waiting. Fist of Havoc has a smaller radius, especially vertically Or at least something along those lines. For an optional spinoff mode anyways.

Sounds awesome. The tryhards a won't play it, so we might have some diversity. It'll be fun spamming nova bombs and scatter grenades.

How does this make any sense at all... If you have a super, you'll use it. Just because people leave to another playlist doesn't mean you won't be using your super still.

Hey supression grenades will finaly be usefull. And dont forget that bubble can survive 2 golden guns and makes it tough for a bladedancer to kill you.
