Deej seems to enjoy dropping bad news
Anyone see the interview with Deej and Destin Legarie? Deej is super smug anyways but he almost seemed delighted at telling Destin there would be no extra vault space because "we need to start defining our guardian" and "in his experience, players only use 2 to 3 of each weapon type anyways".
It just adds more fuel onto the fire when the community manager doesn't care about the players he is supposed to support. It is a direct reflection of how Bungie sees us, cash cows.
Edit 1: I highly encourage you to all watch the interview, it will get you going even more. I can't figure out why he chooses to act like a jerk to a community that literally pays his bills, but I'm glad to see that many more people think he acts condescending to the player base. This is a MMO, you are supposed to collect and enjoy all the gear you worked hard to obtain. Watching deej politic the discussion pushes me farther away from this game

Edit 3: we have been trending and highest rated today. Apparently lots of people see the way this guy acts. Not that bungie would ever do anything about it, but nice to see that people see this smug clown for who he is

Edit 6: thanks for all the support. I'm glad to see so many people calling Deej and his piss poor attitude out. He truly is one of the poisons that damages this community. His smug, unprofessional attitude damages this community. Are their Any ideas on how to voice our displeasure to higher ups? Any way to be more direct in our dissatisfaction?

Long story short: People who enjoy their weapons from year 1 get spit on their face, just like what happened to vanilla weapons in the Dark Below until HoW DLC. People who like collecting in general also get spit in the face. Good news: you can get spit in the face twice!

I must have missed it while I was on my way to the forums to find a team of people that I could have found 5x faster if there was game chat where it matters. Even if you don't put optional matchmaking in, could you seriously put some kind of encouragement to be social IN THE GAME? I have heard 1, ONE, UNO, person talk in team-chat in destiny. For a "social" game, it sure is quiet.

There has to be a balance between business decisions and end product. Many of the recent decisions are heavily on the business side leaving the game to suffer. For those who cannot figure this out and are susceptible to being gambling addicts I feel for you. Any excuse you make to fix the game and keep playing may come back to your inability to break away and move on which is what may be greatly needed to push change. Talk is cheap and actions always speak louder than words. Bungie has showed their actions what are you going to show? Logging in and doing more grinds to not miss out on that pathetic open to everyone cookie? Thought so.

Ummm yeah, well I'm going to play devils advocate here for a minute, after all, it wouldn't be any fun if everyone agreed with you now would it? Kind of like using the same weapon for two years, but I digress. I watched the interview in it's entirety, almost all of it was footage of mp and new maps, but I didn't really have the opportunity to witness Deej's posture, his eyes, his body language and so forth in regards to certain questions being asked of him. So I think these generalizations, pompus, smug, condescending, not really seeing it, and didn't really register any of that in his voice either. So I think most of your comments are misplaced simply because you disagree with his statement about vault space. And I think this does more harm to your overall argument then good. Speaking of which, I tend to agree with him. After all, we have always known this would be an ever evolving adventure. Out with the old, in with the new. And yes this involves hard choices, because there isn't enough vault space in the world to accommodate everyone and everything they want to keep. for one it simply isn't practical, secondly as stated before it becomes redundant, and Destiny already suffers from an overabundance of redundancy, the last thing we need is player self inflicted redundancy simply for the sake of coming to Destiny's forums and saying so. My opinion is that this man has gotten a bad rap from day one. Want to call me an ass kisser, whatever, so be it. But I watched this interview, I watched the HOW live stream, I have read some of his comments here, and I'm just not seeing it. But even if you are right, Deej is not the one making these decisions, that would be the devs and corporate, so if he is stating a philosophy it's not just coming from him ok, what is he supposed to do, not support the game? The only piss poor attitude I'm seeing is right here on this post and the players crucifying this man because they can't have their way 24/7. Time to grow up.

The reason why we only use two to three of each weapon, because we don't have a choice! No room to collect and swap many items because we're limited.
