2 RepliesI don't agree with the fanboy bs but it's a nice option to have. Main thing that's cool about those backward compatible games Imho is that you can use the screenshot and DVR function. Halo Reach please!!

Problem is, if you have 360 games you have the console so pointless feature; if you're planning on buying them to unlock the xbone digital version, it will probably be just as cheap to buy digitally, so pointless feature.

1 ReplyJust read that for all Xbox 360 games, it's up to the developer to opt-in for the program. And they have to contact Microsoft about it first. That means that if someone is secretly working on a remaster, they could have that game not become backwards compatible. For an example(improbable example): Let's say that 2K(or whoever it is now) is secretly making a Bioshock collection HD remake. They could keep any Bioshock games from being backwards compatible to try to increase their sales of an HD remake. So this might not stop HD remakes, and HD remakes might prevent certain games from getting on the compatibility list.

Just read achievements as well as save data via Cloud. I am so hyped. I think i'll be buying Xbox One this Christmas entirely because of backward compatibility.

6 RepliesWho cares. They have only done backwards compatibility because Xbox One has next to nothing on exclusive games. While PS4 has so much more they don't need to do backwards compatibility. Xbox is going backwards not forwards.
