Voidwalker question
Hey guys, I made a Warlock.... Didn't play him at all. (To be honest, I was a crucible-playing hunter and had a deep seeded hatred of novabombs and shield slaps)
Then Trials announced an Anubian helm. So I had to level him up....
I -blam!-ing LOVE being a Warlock! Holy crap with the great jumps and the space magic and the melee and the smart grenades and sharp outfits.
Anyways, question is: Whats the most effective setup for Novabomb, for both game modes? I've been running the splitting bomb and tracking perk, but the Lance and expanded blast radius seems viable too.

Edit 3: Thanks for all the little technical tips! I have Voidfang Vestments and Manacles, will be switching them up situationally from now on I think.

There are so many great suggestions by the community so I might as well throw mine in... Ram helmet- for life steal on melee and armor boost Axion bolt Vortex nova bomb- for controlling zones, doorways, groups and energy drain damage Soul rip- since I already have life steal from ram went for the super energy. The hunger and embrace the void for the full life draining effects. Just damaging someone sometimes is enough. Pve: Obsidian mind+bad juju Shatter annihilate bloom combo

Pvp: Vortex nova bomb with the two perks increasing range and duration. PvE: Simply swap out the far right perk with bloom. Sorry I don't remember all the names cause I don't pay attention to them, only the placement.

I run vortex and axion bolts with the extended time and distance for them equipped for pvp to cut off areas, revives, and wipe teams and to follow up on axions to find people. Then for pve I run Lance, shatter, and bloom for maximum area coverage and exploding melees. I've mained a warlock since September haha. Never get tired of the space magic.

2 RepliesFor pvp? Scatter or axion bolt grenades are great! I'd give axion bolts the edge if you don't have the Nothing Manacles. Also the Vortex effect for the nova bomb kills a surprising amount of enemies and / or is excellent for zone control! Seriously, there are many times I've missed my Nova Bomb but killed multiple people running into the Vortex. The melee doesn't matter too much, it's your choice on that. Tracking for Nova Bomb is pretty good, but increased explosion size is amazing with the Vortex on the Nova Bomb. Seriously, the radius on that thing is huge! Lastly people recomend bloom, but in my experience, it rarely comes in handy. It's a neat effect that's god-tier in pve, but for crucible, people don't cluster enough for it to be entirely useful. So I'd highly recomend Vortex Mastery. It increases the duration of the Vortex effect for both the grenade and the super and, if you run the Axion Bolts, increases their range. It gets you more kills than you'd think. Try this out, I think you might really like it!

It depends on how you play to be honest. I prefer having 3 nova bombs for the extra coverage. I also like having enemies explode when they die by my abilities.

Do it right now.[/quote] PVP: use vortex or axiom grenade, blink, any super you like though I prefer vortex, melee either life steal or soul rip, arcane spirit, angry magic, divine order, and pick which ever you choose for the last bit. PVP: use axiom or scatter, blink, any super you like, either soul rip or life steal, arcane wisdom, annihilate, divine order, and bloom

I use vortex/shatter and annihilate. They're really effective IMO.
