PLEASE stop people from doing just the Skolas fight - make them do the whole thing.
I'm so sick of people spamming "LF Skolas CP" all damn day. Implement a ticket like for Trials, where they have to check off the first 5 rounds before they can join a group at round 6. That way those that have earned their way there, can go back to finish the fight with others who have earned it (cause they have the cp), rather than a bunch of "give it to me now" kids, burning the forums and LFG sites down, trying to get a short cut to the boss.
Edit: Since so many people ask the same question, I'll put the answer here.
It affects me because at the time of this post I was on lfg trying to put together a group for a fresh run (cause I'm not a pussy and I can actually fight my way to Skolas) but the channel was being overrun by a-holes spamming for the Skolas cp. I even asked a few if they wanted to start fresh but they refused. So I had plenty of time to put up this post while looking for people to run with.
Edit: I'm amazed at all the butthurt little kiddies blowing their top over this post. Are you really too crap to make it through 5 rounds? Learn to play. It only takes 20 mins ffs.

2 Repliesmake a -blam!-ing checkpoint system for skolas. it takes much longer than either raid does and it just sucks having to play hours on end without stopping. bungie made a whole big deal about how this was gonna be as good as a raid and not as repetitive, and yet 35 skolas is so much worse than either raid because you can't stop to have breaks, you rarely are rewarded for your struggles, and it's every bit as repetitive since the only things that change on the ENTIRE run are the 2 modifiers for the skolas round.

2 RepliesI go ahead and go for fresh. If we can't take down skolas in 3 tries I go ahead and good game then leave. Beaten him once and It was post patch week 1 small arms/brawler, got it done in 35 minutes but treasure key wouldn't open big chest due to glitchy connection. The only reason I've been going back is to get the final rewards. Last few weeks or last night rather stuck at Skolas for a good 1.5-2 hours, I tapped out. Just can't find that synergy in a group I played with before and it sucks ass.

If people have found a way to exploit that garbage game mode then good for them. The way the loot system is set up is to artificially extend the grind, fuq Bungie's hamster wheel.

4 RepliesIt is pretty arrogant to post on LFG demanding an only Skolas checkpoint. If I work through 5 levels and someone drops off I go to LFG to replace that person. And I will never invite someone requesting the Skolas cp.

2 RepliesAnd that way... you could start at round 5 or 6 if you have a team that did the rest as well. Kinda like checkpoints that people can't steal. It'll also give a use for the "Mission" section of the inventory.

3 Replies35 is always the easiest for whatever reason can usually blow right threw it. Skolas fight isn't even hard just light his ass up every chance you get and it's over. Like others have said I do post on lfg looking for a Skolas check point if my team leaves me.

I don't see what's the problem. You still have to beat the boss. Be happy there are people to help others, no matter what the reason is. Let the person who needs help decide who they want on their fire team.
