I think the constant nerf posts are ruining these forums, calling for a nerf of this or that isn't going to sway bungie to do it no matter how hard u try, bladedancer used to be the OP class now it's sunbreaker... apparently, doesn't matter they all have their roles
-
4 Replies-As a beta player -As someone with every class -As someone with a 1.5 kd and extensive time in crucible and PVE Sunbreaker needs a health nerf, all classes need to shut up and stop calling out other classes, Bungie is not scamming and has not scammed. Yes, girls exist. The Sleeper Simulant is good. The raid is good, and can be done under 290 light. Shotguns need a nerf, everything is fine.

1 ReplySo heres my story. My older brother and cousins had been on the hype train for destiny ever since they read about it in the Game Informer issue, and they were all hyped about the next big FPS made by Bungie. I didn't care much about it or pay much attention, I was too busy playing GTA V blowing up peoples cars and getting fined for it. Then about 2 weeks before the launch of Destiny my brother told me more about it, and told me about these 6 person raids that would take hours to complete. Just that thought alone had me hooked. I loved the idea of a team based event, where you are both shooting down waves of aliens with your sci-fi guns and laser rifles, so then I decided to pre order Destiny! I was just starting my Senior year of High School the night of the release, i remember it like yesterday. It was a nice Tuesday September night, and when I got to my local gamestop the hype became so real. Me and my friend had decided to get there early to beat the line and we still ended up being probably the 50th person there! There was probably 500+ people at the release and I felt right at home, i won a Destiny poster at the midnight release from a little game people were playing, and to this day its the only poster hanging on my wall in my room haha. The next day I started up Destiny and my journey had begun! I first chose a Titan because I love the idea of a in-your-face play style, where punching an enemy in the face is my go to fighting style. I loved it. I remember receiving my first strange coin, I went to Xur and ended up spending it on a Auto Rifle Telemetry because it was the only thing I could afford. I also remember staring at the awesome purple armor that Lord Shaxx had thingking, "Im never going to be high enough to get this" only to find out it only took me a couple weeks. My first exotic armor piece was the Helm of Inmost light, and my first exotic weapon was the Truth. I could go on and on and continue this story if you wanted me to, but all in all I will say this. Destiny is an amazing game with an amazing community. I will always have a love/hate relationship with Bungie because they release such awesome content, it is just balls high in price. Yes, the story lacks, but for me the true game comes after the main Campaign. I love Destiny, and always will!!! TITANS R BÆ

I was with you until you said "let us feel eachother"
-
The community pretty much sucks a lot
-
Game is awesome as it ever was but I think stuff is dropping a little to easy.

I have been here since the alpha... Then went to xbox, and finally I am back where I belong. Destiny, I have every collectors edition and even the new console. I get excited everyday to log in and get on a strike with the great friends I made here. We are even planning to meet and run some strikes on some bbq and beer. Even though, I am sad. They have improved a lot, fvck a dang lot. But they cant get me in yet. All my characters are female because I can't feel identify with them. For me I am the master and I am just playing a simulation. My friends and I make the stories, not bungie. That being said, I am not quitting. I am not going anywhere, I will still be a hardcore guardian trying to find everything that destiny has to offer but fvck, there is a lot of other developers that can see console MMO as the way to go, coop or competitive, and they are learning from Bungie mistakes, they are putting more muscle in story telling and continuity than Bungie. I really, really want this game to be a great game but now, it barely makes it to ok... I'll keep playing, I'll keep buying. At least until my crew decides to abandon the game. I am not mad... I am disappointed.

Good post, I'm happy to read an entry that's not asking for...everything you mentioned above.

4 RepliesI have had destiny since say one. And the community is the biggest group of whining babies. Nothing is ever right. And all they do is complain. I miss when people played a game and accepted it for what it was.

4 RepliesEdited by Mikeachusetts: 10/9/2015 11:47:54 PMNow it's our time to complain. Joy. This community used to be amazing. Back when the biggest mystery was Xylar. And Warlocks, Hunters and Titans were all friends on the forums. Back when awoken was considered the master race. Not your specific class. Referring to when the vault of glass was primary objective. When forever 29 (without iron banner) was the common hurdle to clear. When fusion rifles were "OP". Before "sweaties" was a term in Destiny. Now? Now I can say I prefer being the fly on the wall. Watching everyone get at each others throats over changes that they provoked. It's as toxic as it is contagious in the fact that everyone has something to complain about. To many players new to the routine think they have some sort of entitlement to what happens to a weapon they earned. Not created, earned. I could go on but I prefer not to. Destiny is a game, created by talented individuals. Mastered by few, endure by many. We're here for the long haul considering we still play. Let's get this back to what it used to be. Aimless rant over.

2 RepliesThis is an old post, and I've been a little more outspoken recently, but I do have something to say.. When I first played the Destiny Beta, I was captivated. I actually didn't know anything about the game until then. My buddy had an extra code for it, so I figured hey why not? Anyway, I started a clan on launch day. I've kept it relatively small and tight knit. Everyone knows each other by first name. I've focused on quality people who aren't elitist scum bags, and just want to have fun in the game, but are also good team players with great skill and communication ability. We've been having a blast. Destiny has kept a good portion of us together for over a year. It's an experience I haven't had with any other games. I was never an online multi-player fan before Destiny. And whenever I'm playing another game, it's usually single player only. Anyway, Destiny has certainly had its ups and downs. It certainly hasn't been a perfect game, although the new expansion and update made a lot of it much better.. Regardless of the negatives, like the endless farming for materials, or running the same raid multiple times a week for drops, or the glitches that terrorized us, my team mates and I made a hell of a lot of things much easier to digest within the game. I probably wouldn't have survived it as a solo player at all. But as a clan leader with great people I've come to know and befriend, it's probably been the best gaming experience overall in my life. Especially in a social, team based sense. There's nothing quite like going into a raid with friends, figuring it all out from scratch and getting through it together for the first time. The screams of excitement and relief, the hard work, the pride in having 6 people come together and work as a single unit to overcome bizarre mechanics and amazing bosses. I'm proud of my clan mates. I can't wait to see how we evolve with the game over the years. It's going to be a fun and exciting ride.
